OK, just got home from my jollies to Mid Wales and have another speeding ticket. Clearly I do not learn. But the holiday was great. Shame all my money saving has just gone up in smoke. I will respond to the Police tomorrow and admit to my misdemeanour and see what the fine will be this time.
NSD's have gone out the window whilst I have been away, but my make £10 a month has not been too bad. So far, I have made £13.68 towards my £10 target for September for my laptop. I have paid £50 toward the cost purely from surveys in one month, so I am happy with this - and I still haven't reached the magical £30 figure for payout from One Poll. The old laptop listing comes to an end tomorrow, so hopefully it will sell, which will take a chunk out of what I owe on the new one. There are 12 watchers, but no bids so far.
I have a few things to list on ebay now I am home, and I need to get a bag together for things to go to the charity shop. It might encourage me to start to declutter. I also need to write the ad for the cleaner, as I haven't done this yet, as well as get the paperwork together for the accountant. I have been saying this for months and still haven't done it.
Back to work on Monday. Ho hum. On a positive note, I have booked my October long weekend break. I am back to my original plan to go somewhere in the camper every month. Now that lockdown is nearly over depending on where you live, I can get back on track with this and ensure I use the camper to its fullest. What I do not give, you must never take by force.

Ouch to the speeding ticket. Glad you are getting to use your camper though. Sounds very liberating.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi Savings. Thanks for dropping by. The paperwork from the police says that I am within the speed limit to be able to go on a speed awareness course, so I am hoping they will offer me this alternative. I didn't get that option when I was caught on the M3. I will wait with bated breath to see what the outcome is.
The campervan is just great and as you said, very liberating. I feel very lucky to have it.
Anyway, to money busting, I am failing terribly on the NSD's, but I am slowly chipping away at the mortgage. I hope to meet my target of owing £45k by the end of the month, but I seem to have a lot of things that need paying for. Not sure why. I think I need to have another look at my income and expenditure and at what I am spending my income on. But it is always justified isn't it?!What I do not give, you must never take by force.

I am over-spending currently too. Not sure how to bring it back on track given that I want to get the house ready to sell. It's a difficult balance. I am trying to do the work myself where I can but not had much help from DH who just wants to buy help in. He doesn't do the budget....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Yaay! I have reached the magical mystery £30 in the sky! But it takes up to a month to be paid into a bank account. Boo! Oh well, I am pleased, but it won't pay out again until £25. Why these high numbers all the time? Does it ever get to payout at £10.00?What I do not give, you must never take by force.

Thanks Savings. I just keep plodding, and anything I get, I see as an absolute bonus. Paying off the laptop is key at the moment. Then I can focus on the car loan. BUT, I have juts put up an advert for a cleaner - finally! So perhaps I will try to raise the money to pay them with the surveys. This will never happen on a monthly basis, but it can help towards the cost. So, my plans have gone AWOL already. Pay for the laptop, then use the money to help pay for the cleaner, whilst leaving the car where it is. It is being covered anyway, so no need to stress.
As I said previously, my expenditure seems to have gone wrong somehow, I am overspending big styleee. So I need to stand still for a moment and have a look to see what I do have and what I need to move to where to pay for what needs paying for. A lot of money needed to cover the cost of plastering and tiling, but I am struggling to find workmen. Seems no-one wants the work! Don't know if it is Covid related, but to be truthful, I have always fund it difficult to get workers in to do stuff.
Anyway, one step at a time. Yesterday was a NSD, but today will involve paying for diesel to get to work, with money I do not have as I had to pay for the MOT. Not the end of the world. At some point, everything will settle down and I will see how much I am in debt.
FDirect wrote to me asking how I intend to pay off my mortgage as I have 10 years left to pay. That was sobering. I was hoping I would have done it before then, within the next 4 years to be precise, but interesting they want clearly defined goals, with evidence to support the assertions now. Wake up call to get on with paying the mortgage down as much as possible.
So, summary for the rest of September -
Pay off the laptop
Continue to pay the car loan
Continue to pay into the Visa - owe £300.
Find a cleaner - can't put notes up in local shop - covid touch points. This may have to wait even longer.
Find someone to do some work on the house.
Get the paperwork to the Accountant.
Clean the house before I get a cleaner
Keep doing the surveys
Try to sell a bit more on ebay
Earn some money!

I found there were cleaning franchises where I live - I've had cleaners through there in the past - and then employed the direct later. I've also had cleaners via friends' recommendations. I too am struggling to get workmen. Hope you manage to get someone in.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
