Right then, called VM today, the 'nice' lady explained letters are on the way out this week for an October increase announcment, however on the 29th August new tariffs will become available which will avoid the increase0

Ah so it's those with broadband only that's affected. Good news for me for the time being.
Hope all those on the solus packages get something sortedCurrently in a Protected Trust Deed - 23 payments until DEBT FREE - February 20270 -
Wouldn't of thought that there would be many with just Broadband only packages?0

Odd - two of the people I know who got the increase notification have TV, Phone and BB - something tells me someone at Virgin Media has it wrong or one of their systems is pretty messed up...0

VIP is going up by £1.50 and BB only is going up by £2.50
I think the Sky Movie packages are due to change price too but anything else shouldn't be changing0 -
In tiny writing near the bottom of the email from VM it states:
f you do not wish to be bound by these changes you can cancel your contract with us without penalty. The process to be followed is set out in our terms and conditions at virginmedia.com/legalstuff
Any idea which email address to use to cancel? Thanks.0 -

Their phone charges are not competitive. Once the phone line is excluded the BB looks reasonably attractive compared to others + the phone line they need. Even if you want a land line number which most don't VOIP deals like Vonage work out cheaper than a VM phone.0
