Hi ATT thanks for the messages oh I have neglected this diary. Well looking at my last post just before the New Year:

Still getting closer to friend she is actually really nice but yes very different, strange to go in and see third friend today she doesn't know we have been spending time over Xmas. Really shouldn't matter but toxic triangle could happen.

Planning how we can merge two bureaux today, if it comes up I will definitely stay longer with CAB if it doesn't I need to move on at some point when I have enough experience. Need to earn descent money again as I'm still thinking about going solo from DH.

Very strange as those three things are still happening right now. Getting close to third friend lots of emotions but really good apart from second friend jealous so have to sneak around and lie a lot.

Merger not going to happen instead of having two managers and two deputies in each bureau (I'm the the deputy) they want one joint CO at four days and then the deputy does the rest. We are also cutting a post at our bureau. Well as we can barely cover everything it's obviusly not good and I don't look forward to the huge workload but worst of all the CO role is being advertised externally so my friend and mananger might not get it. That means with the subsequent restructure they could offer her my job. I need a new job really.

Thirdly had a fantastic time in Oman and Dubai but made me realise I need to break up with OH came home to him being !!!!ed which I was expecting but really being away made me realise what a drain it is to live with him. He is totally in denial about his drinking his menory loss and the state of our marriage,

Plan afoot to make my own life sad to leave this house even short term but needs must.

Sorry if this diary is a depressing one but being mortgage free does come in handy in situations like this

Sorry things are difficult - as you say though at least being mortgage free does ease worries in that direction!
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Hi TG! I saw your thread appear on the main forum screen and thought I'd say hello! (Dithering Dad here).

I don't venture often into the MFW board anymore as I have different priorities these days (despite my username), so it was nice to see you're still on MSE and still working towards your goals. :)
  • All the best, TG, sorry to hear the news. It will be very hard for a while but worth it afterwards when that level of stress is removed from your life.
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

Just a quick note to say good to know you are still around, yours was one of the main threads to motivate me when I started this lark :D

Thanks all of you how lovely to hear from DD again and ATT plus SSS (sounds like secret codes doesn't it). DD you certainly inspired me to pay my mortgage off wasn't even sure I could before I stumbled on this board.

Things still difficult he's trying really hard and it does make me said but I know it's over sadly he doesn't. Going to stay at a friends from Thurs to Mon might bring some more clarity also had a response to my wanted room ad.

Found a perfect job in central London less perfect but on that salary I could certainly commute.

Will keep you posted what happens in the meantime thank you so much for reading lovely to know you guys are on here.

Thanks ATT & TG, it was great to be part of the MFi3 challenge, I really thought we accomplished something. :)

I see your location is on the 'South Coast', TG. I'm currently working in Brighton and loving it, it's a great place!

Hi MFW_ASAP sounds wrong you will always be DD. Yes I'm still on the South Coast but who knows where I'll end up. Brighton is lovely really jealous.

Had response to my room advert sounds perfect not ensuite but large room on ground floor with a garden. Meeting them tomorrow to have a look at the room but drove past tonight omg gorgeous house and perfect location 10min walk from work and mins from friends house. I think it's going to be good and £375 a month incl bills which is not bad for this area.

Staying with friend Thursday night until Sunday then hopefully move into new place. Got to leave DH obviously which will be hard but must be done I can't live like this.

Meeting at work tonight with chair got some answers and they do seem to have thought things out a bit better. Chief officers role is quite low pay so can't see much interest who wants to work 4 days. I do hope my manager gets it but she might not want it. I am still determined to apply for jobs else where. Got a contact at the place the perfect London is so off to email her now.

Anyway enough depressing stuff from me.

Will update when I can or maybe even start a new diary might be better.
