A bit of a spendy day, had to fork out for both kids father days gifts, well I didn't have to but I did.
£2 for a cardi at a car boot, another £2 at the car wash, £21 on groceries and £50 of derv in the tank. I'm into credit card spending now until pay day on Friday. Technically I could transfer some savings over, but the card is interest free and will be paid off next month. Not good that I've gone over budget though, a knock on effect from last months spending.
Target for July is to get to the end of it in budget.

2 of the drum paddles fell off my washing machine today, strange how they both went together, I've found some on line for a total of £16 delivered, cheaper than a new washer, just hope I can fit them myself.

DS had an inverview at college on Wednesday and has been offered a conditional place for a public services diploma, most go onto to police, fire brigade, army type things after this. So he's going to be at home for another 2 years :T at least (providing he gets the 4 GSCEs, which he should do)

I've thrown away a fair bit of food from the fridge this weekend, which is annoying, I need to be more careful with the shopping

No cycling this weekend, I went out Friday night and got far too drunk, spending Saturday in bed. To make up for it today I've done lots of cleaning and the house is looking and smelling lovely :A

Back to the treadmill tomorrow :(

Thank you Eager_E, I might be PMing you with a rant as I've just been told I didn't serve notice properly so I've got to do it again, a month wasted :mad:

    Feel free to PM me.

Who told you the notice is invalid?

This site http://www.landlordzone.co.uk/ are a great resource for any landlord, they even have a forum where you can ask questions.

If I ever deal with landlords at work I always direct them here (as the charity I work for help tenants and not landlords)

Thanks Eager_E that's a great resource, I'm waiting for the letter from the council, apparently they're writing to me to tell me what notice I need to serve, I'd better do it by the book this time!

Payday Friday weyhey, there will be enough to pay of the CC in full and stick a bit more in to the kitchen/patio fund.

Yesterday the child benefit arrived and also an affiliate payment, so I've now got plenty to see me though even though I'll need to fill up yet again..

I totted up my monthly savings plan tonight, I am putting £875 a month away into savings/budget pots now, and I've got over £2k in there already, who'd have thought it!!
If I paid this off my mortgage instead I'd be mortgage free in less than 10 years, would be a bit of a dull life tho :rotfl:

Hi lovemilk, yes ebay selling is worth depending on what you have to sell, it's worth doing an advanced search on sold items to see what sort of price your item might fetch.
I use the topcashback compare tool to find the cheapest insurance

I thought this was going to be a quiet weekend, until loads of invites seemed to come my way.
I've had an invite to a ladies social bike ride, just 30 miles and by the looks of it we're stopping for coffee every 5!! Free apart from the drinks.
Then I had an invite to an evening of Tedx talks, no idea what it is, but I'm up for anything new, followed by dancing the night away at a ball, that isn't free, but I know the people who organise it and they'll have done it on a budget I'm sure.
The ball is near my brothers house so will hope to stop in and see them,
So that's the weekends entertainment sorted.
I do find socializing stressful in group situations, and probably drink too much to compensate, but I will try and moderate that tonight, and I wold rather go out and make the effort than sit in and feel sorry for my self (today, I might feel different tomorrow!)
DS is working at the pub today and tomorrow, the chef has been teaching him some basics, so that's all good. Then on Monday he's labouring for a friends dad who's a builder. So cash in his pocket and learning a few skills for life too :T
DD is now in Greece, I've spoken to her every day, lots of alcohol fuelled shenanigans. She thinks she broke her ankle at a pool party yesterday, but as she is able to walk on it and was laughing away to me on the phone, I said it's probably sprained, and reminded her the excess on her medical insurance is £140!! And she still needs to find a job.
I've had a quote to sort the patio and the garden at my house of £1200, which is pretty reasonable, it would put back the kitchen plans probably until the beginning of next year, although at this rate I won't be moving in to it til then!!
Have a lovely weekend all, and enjoy this sunshine while it lasts x

The weekend was fun, lovely to catch up with some old and new friends, and lovely family, my little nephew is such a cutie.

Pay day has been and gone, with extra payments of £82 made into the new kitchen, pension and mortgage. I couldn't decide which to pay first so I've decided to split all surplus 3 ways

DS has done his first days labouring and loved it, earning £50 in the process. I'm wondering if I can get the patio done cheaper if I offer his services as a labourer!

DD is still staying in touch lots which is good, although my phone bill is going to be huge, and her first week sounds like something from sun, sea and suspicious parents!!

We have a recommend a friend scheme at work for job vacancies, and I've recomended a friend of a friend, I've never actually met her, but if she gets the job I get £100, fingers crossed :)

Got another £32 on it's way from topcashback, I think that's either the car or house insurance.
Ooo and I have a cheque on it's way from @mazon, an affiliate payment of $391.47 which is around £270, it has taken 16 months to accumulate that much though, so not going to be a quick rich scheme. Although better than my e-book adventure which netted 37p this year :rotfl:

Frugal things this week included doing my shredding at work, and packed lunch to work.
Unfrugal things included a glass of wine with my meal :o (working away and alcohol not allowed on expenses so I had to pay myself )

5 days until I jet off to the sunshine state for 10 days  I need to do a wardrobe check that I have enough clothes to wear, it's gonna be a hot one...

Topcashback payment in and split 3 ways, signature updated.

I can't quite get my head around this, but 2 years a go I had just had my light bulb moment, and I can't remember exactly but my debt free day was somewhere in 2017. Now it's all paid and I'm getting all jiggy with mortgage and pension over payments, and amazingly I have over £3k in my budget and savings pots. It's important to review and remember how far we've come :T

Hey I've just noticed I have an extra medal and I'm now a Serious MoneySaving Fan :D
