Thanks Alfie. :A
I didn't realise it was the Martin Clunes series - I saw it last time round :T
I enjoyed the whole series. I'm so glad I hadn't missed a new programme about the heavy horses.:j As you say, such gentle giants. xx
Beaut horses - however, my mum when aged about 6/7 (many many years ago) got bit from one of yon horses, a younger horse. She was warned to stay away from one of them and took no notice -
Not much damage done apart from severe telling off from her mam and dad - guess though I take after her!!!
Can also recall -mums family, large family of 10 kids, hand me downs etc, me mum was youngest and she got on bike with no brakes - nothing!! Peddled away and ended up in hedge!! No damage apart from pride and another severe telling off.!! :rotfl::rotfl: What a wonderful girl - now you know where I get my spirit from!!xxxx

Good morning all, looks like you were all up earlier than me as usual! Looks nice and sunny here at the moment. Off to Chester later to get some food in for next lot of visitors.
Alfie - we watch Heavy Horsepower as well, what beauties. It seemed funny seeing Martin Clunes laugh though after seeing him in Doc Martin. There is a new series of DocM coming on soon.
Sheils - enjoy your day out and your walk. Your DD is very early going back to school our don't go back until Sept. Scotland is always earlier though isn't it?
Indie - glad its payday for you. I like the end of the month too as DD2 gets paid as well and always seems to owe me money lol.
Firefly - talking about woolies, did you manage to get some new cardigans in the end, I seem to remember you were going to get yourself some new one. Must admit I like M & S for cardigans. We have a lovely new store within walking distance from us.
Walwin - thanks for the reminder about the Lidl voucher, we noticed in a leaflet of theirs we picked up in store but I had binned it.
Here's hope for some lovely wins in the Inn today. Sending lots of fairy dust for you, we could do with firefly's Buddha so we can rub his belly

Hi Sylv! Hope you have a lovely day.
Yep, love watching Doc Martin - new series coming soon I believe, but also found it strange seeing Martin in 'normal mode' as it were.
He has a beautiful farm in Dorset :
Fairly sunny here but have to catch up with sewing, garden can wait as done a fair bit out there. Just hemming some curtains and also have tiebacks to sew, few other bits n pieces to do. xxxxxxxMILITARY WIVES CHOIRSHELP for HEROES0 -
Glad you managed to get your cardies firefly and thanks for the Buddha I will give his tummy a rub as could do with some better luck at the moment in more ways than one!
Alfie - I have 2 pairs of trousers for Fred that need sewing. Must get them done before Fred's DD comes on Wednesday as one of the GK's is the sort who has to mess with everything he sees, even though he is 12 lol. Love them though and looking forward to seeing them again.
Have a nice day everyone and good luck.
SYLBIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
Morning all  very cheerful in here this morning
Not much planned for today except pick laptop up and gymnastics tonight for DD. I might take youngest to soft play house to burn off some energy! Maybe hubby might crack on with some DIY then!
Enjoy Chester SylviaI like watching DocM too, he's very different from his men behaving badly character!
Thanks for the heads up with Lidl voucher walwin :A I hardly spend when I go in there though, only certain items I want unless there's other products on offer.
Enjoy your day out too SheilsI bet your DD wasn't looking forward to going back to school! It must be scary for you knowing she will be in her last yr.
I love payday too indie! :j Don't overspend on your shopping!

Alfie, have you got any calamine lotion for the midges bites? Or maybe whiskey? Although whiskey doesn't help the bites but it sure tastes good with a coke!
Have a good day everyone and fingers crossed for a Times WEMBig thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Wingo: Calamine lotion is good but scotch n dry is better!

Good luck for a winning afternoon0 -
Hi everyone,
Had a nice day out apart from having to drive past where a teenage boy was knocked down by a lorry and killed last week. There were loads of flowers and Rangers tops by the side of the road so quite upsetting to see. DD and DS both knew him a little although he wasn't from our town.
We had a nice walk by the River Cree and I saw the strangest thing. A man walking in front of us was spotted by a duck who seemed to fly straight over the water to him and then called her ducklings. He must feed them every day and she recognised him as there was no sign of him having food until he opened his rucksack.
All stocked up with food now anyway and have our petrol voucher ready for Sainsburys at Preston.
Great there is going to be another series of Doc Martin - love it although I miss Stephanie Cole in it.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media
