Morning and happy Monday all!

Up at 5am today as had early night (after watching Heavy Horsepower - beautiful creatures )

Can't believe how dark it is in mornings now (and evenings) and def chilly touch. However, understand the days are going to be quite warm as week progresses?

Did some more gardening yesterday late afternoon/early evening - soil was easy to dig/weed due to previous rain. But I paid the price ...... I have been bitten by a 1000 midgies ...... the wee blighters!!!! :eek::eek: (Well - maybe slight exaggeration but the critters had a good go!! :eek::eek:)

Enjoyed the last episode of The White Queen - had me googling what happened next! History was one of my favourite subjects at school but never did that topic.

Hope your bites aren't too bad Alfie. Mine always swell up and itch for weeks when I get them.

Thanks for heads up on Tesco voucher wingo, will get a Mirror when we go out.

We are off to Sainsburys later to get petrol voucher etc. Food running out again. Will have a walk along the river while we are there and a look in Aldi too. DD goes back to school today - earliest ever I think.

Hi walwin!

It was on itv last night - Martin Clunes: Heavy Horsepower - was a repeat.

Can recall long ago, me mums family were farmers and grandad, great grandad used these beautiful creatures to plough the land. Such gentle giant creatures. Absolutely beautiful!

Hopefully you will be able to catch up on it So very interesting.

Am trying not to scratch re bites - the blighters!!!!! xxxxxxx

I didn't realise it was the Martin Clunes series - I saw it last time round :T
I enjoyed the whole series. I'm so glad I hadn't missed a new programme about the heavy horses.:j As you say, such gentle giants. xx

Good morning all, looks like you were all up earlier than me as usual! Looks nice and sunny here at the moment. Off to Chester later to get some food in for next lot of visitors.

Alfie - we watch Heavy Horsepower as well, what beauties. It seemed funny seeing Martin Clunes laugh though after seeing him in Doc Martin. There is a new series of DocM coming on soon.

Sheils - enjoy your day out and your walk. Your DD is very early going back to school our don't go back until Sept. Scotland is always earlier though isn't it?

Indie - glad its payday for you. I like the end of the month too as DD2 gets paid as well and always seems to owe me money lol.

Firefly - talking about woolies, did you manage to get some new cardigans in the end, I seem to remember you were going to get yourself some new one. Must admit I like M & S for cardigans. We have a lovely new store within walking distance from us.

Walwin - thanks for the reminder about the Lidl voucher, we noticed in a leaflet of theirs we picked up in store but I had binned it.

Here's hope for some lovely wins in the Inn today. Sending lots of fairy dust for you, we could do with firefly's Buddha so we can rub his belly
