ILC, that is just wierd! Why would someone have a duck in the house let alone vacuum it! (Was it you walwin, trying out your new Hoover head?
)
It's quite upsetting Sheils when you see flowers at the road side knowing youngsters have been killed. You always hear about stuff like that happening in the hols too.
Lovely thing about the duckshow nice the ducks recognised the man!
Been to soft play with DD2 and sis and her DD then popped to see mum. The district nurse came to give her injection and mum cried cos it hurt her.She has one every day for a week! (Oh dear!)
Postie brought me the free sunshades :j and a free sample of fairy washing powder! :j He loves me after all!
FF, they do have some nice stuff occasionally on that site but the p&p is expensive so might be worth ordering few things all at once if you like stuff.Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Hi everyone,
Had a nice day out apart from having to drive past where a teenage boy was knocked down by a lorry and killed last week. There were loads of flowers and Rangers tops by the side of the road so quite upsetting to see. DD and DS both knew him a little although he wasn't from our town.
We had a nice walk by the River Cree and I saw the strangest thing. A man walking in front of us was spotted by a duck who seemed to fly straight over the water to him and then called her ducklings. He must feed them every day and she recognised him as there was no sign of him having food until he opened his rucksack.
All stocked up with food now anyway and have our petrol voucher ready for Sainsburys at Preston.
Great there is going to be another series of Doc Martin - love it although I miss Stephanie Cole in it.
would of been upsetting for me as well shiels
always sad to see them x

woohoo! I'm typing on laptop although it takes some getting used to after comping on ipad for months! I keep pressing screen and scrolling too far!
Plus, I've got my annoying dd sat next to me reading out everything I type! (Sshhh...don't tell her she is stinky!
) That made her move! :rotfl:
We used to have ducks that the previous owner used to feed that came in our garden but they stopped coming now. Shame, I like seeing all the different wildlife.Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
That would be upsetting for me too sheils
Lovely duck story though :j
I haven't seen the Orville ad
ILC - I loved the video :T
wingo - it wasn't me, honestalthough my 2 nephews had ducks when they were young that were really tame and used to come in to the kitchen :rotfl:
My sister asked me to come and take Donald (original, eh) to my vet one day when he was limping and she thought he might have broken his leg. Vet said leg was fine, just a knock, but suggested they might want to rename her :rotfl:
Funny thing, though, she was really good and quite happy in the car and in the vets, much less complaining than pusscat is0 -
