  • Just curious :p, when you prepare your mailings do you place the smart inside the folded paper or just pop it in the envelope?

I always put it inside the folded paper but the letter I received today had the smart put in after the paper, on the opening side and the (white) envelope had opened at the perforation bit causing the smart to be showing :(

When I prepare the boxes, packets and large C4 envelopes, I don't bother much about exactly where the Smart is placed.

However when I prepare the medium (C5) and small white (DL), I always place the Smart within the folded paper. I think it is particularly important to do that with the white DL envelopes precisely because of the problem you have identified - the perforation tears very easily and a lot have turned up in my house with the envelope torn, perhaps as they are pushed through the door.

I signed up a while ago and 2 day ago I received two envelopes with instructions of when to post. The note in the pack said I would receive training guidelines be email but nothing has arrived. What should I do next please?

On the paper to put in the envelope there is reference to retain a SMART. What is a smart please.

If you have checked you spam folder and the email isn't there, login to the TNS system and look at the training material (there's a tab near the top of the screen after you log in which will lead you there).

It sounds as though you have just begun training and won't be handling Smarts yet. If you have finished training and these two items are not going to West Bromwich, then phone them on Monday morning (the 0800 number on the website).

I am just beginning and these two items are going to West Bromwich. I have managed to log in to the TNS web site by using my email adddress and requesting a password reset but the panalist guide is not there

I had the same e-mail and have only been rested since December.
There I was thinking I was unique :D

Same here. I've been rested since early December but was pleasantly surprised to get the email today. I was equally pleasantly surprised to get the 2014 diary in the post last week.

Across the top of the screen after login you will find links, starting at Daily Tasks at the left and ending with LogOut on the right. The row below begins Your current location is: (whatever it is) and has News and Features at the far right. The item before that is TRAINING and there are links from there (I know it refers to a guide received in the post but you say you haven't received that yet.) You may also like to read through the FAQ section.

If those two areas don't help you, just phone them on Monday morning.

I double-checked before writing - Advanced extends the rows to show the suggested time, not the posting point.

Yes you are correct - I have just logged on to prepare my re-training post for next week and found that the information shown on the advanced setting has been altered while I have been resting.

It will be interesting to see what else they have altered in the last few months.
  • I also received an email inviting me back! I've only been resting about 2 months, but have been doing the unaddressed survey during this time.

  • Just wondered whether anyone has had their incentive stamps for Feb yet?
I got my Jan incentives on Dec 7th, so 5 weeks ago, just had my posting pack for week beginning 20th Jan and no stamps yet.
Is it random when they send them out or is it usually every X amount of weeks?

    TIA
