Just being invited to do the Royal Mail Correctly Delivered Survey, from 2 December to 15 December 2013 and this will be my first time doing this. :j

I have recently completed the unaddressed survey and Correctly delivered survey both on 20 October. How long will I have to wait for the vouchers. I've just signed up again for the correctly delivered from 2 December. These will definitely come in handy for Christmas.

I've received an item today with a smart in it, but the poster forgot to put the label with the R number on. Do I just return the smart?

I'd email noting the Smart code letters and giving details such as those which are normally required (such as when received, whether damaged, postmark or franking details, postage amount, small/medium/large/packet/box, ) and say you will return the Smart to West Brom.

They can then sort it out if they want based on the Smart and what you should have received (if the system allows for that!).

They tend to email you about the unaddressed survey voucher - saying that they are just about to post them.

I normally expect the vouchers to arrive about 3 weeks after the Correctly Delivered survey.

Received one yesterday with the smart missing!

It's not rocket science to get this right.

Over the last few days, when logging receipts, I've twice been prompted that there should have been a Smart and to check again. Once was when there was one and I'd already recorded it and the other with a magazine which hadn't had a Smart with previous issues (and I've never had a Smart with a magazine although I believe it is possible).

can people please not write posting details on envelopes, people are getting removed from this panel as this shows the postie what you recieve.

Though it is annoying and people should not mark items in that way, I don't believe it really alerts postal delivery workers to what is happening - unless it were almost every item and the RM person was carefully inspecting what you received.

Those being removed from active participation in the survey because RM are aware of them is much more likely to be because one of the items has become damaged in the post (including those poor white DL envelopes which split along the opening only too easily* - they really should stop using them, particularly when there are Smarts).

* I'd also suggest that if you are posting one of these with a Smart inside, do place it so that it is not directly at the back of the envelope. So if the envelope splits a little it is not so evident there is a Smart inside.
