I am new to the RM Survey and due to post my first 2 items next week.
One is an ordinary DL size envelope, to be posted in a postbox. Am I okay to post it in the postbox outside the post office (which I believe is classed as posting it at a post office)?
Hi HomingPigeon,
Yes, that's fine to post in the box outside the post office (no need to hand it over the counter) if it is listed to be posted at either "post office" or "post box". As long as that box/office is listed as one of your boxes. Provided it is, then it is a post box like any other. Some times you'll be asked to post specifically at the post office (box), but likewise, if you cannot get there, then any other box on your list will be fine too.
I hope this helps, please don't hesitate to ask questions.
Take care,

Although it is fine to post this at the "PO" box, I do try to post the Postbox items at a box that is not outside the PO. If they are going to have fuller data and pick up on problems, it is more likely that non collection will happen at non PO boxes. However, don't make life difficult for yourself!0 -

The online schedule tells me to use a printed label for addressing a jiffy bag but the paper instruction sheet says to hand-write the jiffy bag.
I know it's usually better to follow the online schedule but I don't have a printed label, so is it okay to just post the jiffy bag with a handwritten address?
Also, the address they are using for me is incomplete - it is missing the village name, which is part of my full postal address. They have the correct postcode so the post gets to me without a problem. Should I inform them about this?0 -

I'm a newbie and posted my first item this morning. I noticed the 'day of next collection' plate was missing from the box.
When entering the data online, I chose the 'none of these days' option.
Do I just leave it at that or should I email and inform them the plate is missing from the box? It's a small box on a pole (the rural type).0
