I don't think receiving magazines is anything to do with time on survey - I have done the survey for a number of years and the number of magazines I have received varied widely.

Don't get too excited about the magazines - some of them are pretty boring!

Quick question, I'm finally resting on my 6 months break....(actually a good thing over the summer hols as I would probably really struggle to keep up) but have you guys that are recieving magazines been on the panel for long? Never got much more than the standard envelopes!!! Just wondering!!
(Also excited to be taking part in another weeks survey end of August!) x

Last year was my first time on panel and I received a boxing magazine, then I stopped for 6 month rest and back on this year. I haven't received any mags this time round so far.

I've been accepted for a six month project and have just received the training guidelines with a website link and my panellist ID. Will I receive another email containing a password as currently I can't log in - or perhaps I am not meant to log in yet, until I receive more instructions?

You may be better directing this query to the panel either by phoning them or via email...

There is a default password that many panellists use before changing it to their own password, but it might not be a good idea if the default password is given on an open unrestricted forum.

If you have been sent the private panellists guide ,either the paper copy or the electronic version the default password is given on page 17 under the heading managing your account

There is no password given on the Managing your Account page (which is Page 18 of the guide I have), just details of how to change it. I will wait a few more days and see if I get another email containing a password. It's not the one used for TNS mystery shopping either, as I tried that.

If you have the same document as me it is titled...manage your account: username and password
    The first sentance then reads.

When you first join the survey panel your online username will be {}...your default password will be...I have removed identifying text .
and then it lists the 3 steps to change .

and no it wont be the same as your tns shopping password unless of course you choose to change it to that.

Just waiting to start now! I couldn't add my address in correctly but I'll have to contact them once I've got my login details etc.

Owlet - you'll find quite a few things have altered in recent times. Now have to post boxes and parcels as well as the letters although you do receive extra incentive for those because of having to actually go in a P.O.
If you are invited to take part in a correctly delivered survey or an Unaddressed survey take it. They are really easy and pay £5 L2S voucher.
And of course, you now do it for 6 months and then have a break of 6 months. You also have to re-train each time which is a real waste of time.
    Hope you enjoy coming back!

Just received a test CD/DVD box, obviously the sender couldn't work out how to fold it around the polystyrene insert so threw that away and just sent it flat.
I despair, there are some numpties doing the postal survey.
Just trailed across town to the sorting office to collect something which the card said couldn't be delivered to a neighbour. Thought it was going to be exciting but turned out to be two posting packs which could have easily been put through the door as they been before.

Have a CD/DVD box to send next week, they have obviously seen the complaints as it now comes with printed instructions on how to make it up properly...

TELL ME ABOUT IT !!!!

I've had numerous conversations with the help desk about items NOT being sent through the mail system to THEIR specifications again and again that it makes a mockery :rotfl:
of the statistics that they are trying to generate for analysis.

I'll be contacting them AGAIN later today about yesterday's  "Jiffy Bag" - the usual source of error.

How many times must this happen nationwide? It's about 50% of every one I receive !!!

    IT'S NOT A LETTER !!!

    IT'S A PARCEL

For goodness sake MAKE IT FAT ENOUGH

I think they may be sending out instructions soon on how to "assemble" a Jiffy bag because it just NOT happening.

Yesterday's came with the "obligatory" (although I've had many without) 10 A4 sheets of paper packing, 9 plus the Rnnnn information sheet, BUT NOT the little cardboard "Box insert", assembled or otherwise.

It clearly says on the R label "1st SMALL PARCEL" ....

... so how much was the postage they applied ??????
(This is a Business panelist and uses the Metered system)

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:51p:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

It was absolutely as flat as a pancake and whizzed through the Royal Mail as a LETTER and NOT the parcel as it should have done.

When I send one of these I fold the 9 blank A4 sheets several times both length ways and width ways until it fills the height of the space inside the little "cardboard box insert" and wedge it in to ensure it cannot collapse and that it CANNOT pass through the 1 inch/25mm slot, that a LARGE Letter has to do to become a "letter", making certain that my jiffy bag is definitely a £3.30 small parcel. :j

    </RANT> :D

Were you accepted immediately? I signed up last week but haven't heard anything from them yet.
