So my pack for week commencing 1 December 2014 only has 12 x 1st Christmas stamps. Is this another Christmas gift or is it my monthly reward?

Console yourself with the thought that you'll be on the rota at Easter so you might get a bag of eggs. I'm always off for Christmas and Easter so I never get anything (story of my life).

There should have been a note with it saying it was a Christmas gift in appreciation of your work during the year. Check the envelope - but don't worry if there isn't a note there. You haven't been deprived of the regular reward.

Hmmmm all the notices on my local postboxes have changed yet again and it appears my weekday final collection is now 9 AM. Doesn't give much of a window of opportunity for posting my items!

  • those notices are basically saying its up to the postman to collect when he feels like it. but starts at 9am not 7 or what ever it use to be. it was worded so badly. still use the last collection that it use to be on the box.

No, that's not what it says. The notice you refer to went up on the postboxes in about September. I agree that they were very badly worded, but this is a NEW notice that only went up this week, and it definitely says, final collection Monday to Friday 9 AM.
