Same for me - I assumed it was because this should be my last week before "resting" but reducing the number because of public holidays makes sense - almost too much sense for TNS

And the last of these is my first APL cube. £4 of Love2Shop included in the same package. To be honest, this isn't a great imposition for me. I can get to the post office easily from work - I often have work things to go recorded as well - and I'm not so skint that I can't afford to hand over the cash.
Certainly too much sense for TNS to have deliberately done this.... no doubt we will suddenly have about 20 things to post the following week!
I really don't mind the APL parcels either, I'm at the Post Office almost everyday with eBay parcels anyway so it isn't as though I have to go out of my way and £6 (including the extra £2 at the end of the month) in vouchers for a £3.20 parcel is great and it encourages me to spend my money on something useful rather than waste it at the same time... I can use the vouchers to buy some memory cards for my DSLR camera from Argos for example and it's pretty much half price when you're getting £6 for a £3.20 parcel.
I can however see why it causes problems for some panelists who have a long journey to the Post Office, Don't have the spare cash to swap for vouchers or don't really have anything to buy with the vouchers.0 -
i posted a cube last saturday, post office counter of course but can't record it. The drop down menu states which post boxes I use ( one being the post office ) but when I click on the post office, it says can't have been posted here as too big for a post box. How can I differentiate between post box and counter. Have sent 3 e-mails and not had an answer and phone is useless as staff are not available. Hope this makes sense, I know what I mean lol0

I had this problem a couple of weeks ago when I tried to record that I had posted a cube, I had to go to manage my posting methods and add the Post Office, you have the option of adding a sub or a main Post Office.0 -

If you go online and go to "manage my postboxes", check the list.
When they recently upgraded the system and split the PO's from the postboxes, they entered both my PO's under postboxes.
I have just had to enter my local PO as a new entry so it would accept the cube I posted last week.
I amended the original entry under postboxes to be "dormant" so it will no longer appear on the list when I enter sent mail.
Hope that makes sense.0 -
thanks, will try this.0

I'm probably going to sound really thick here, but is the 'main' post office classed as just a post office on it's own and is a 'sub post office' like a post office within a shop?0

thats how I would read it .
Thanks to redaglia, it worked. I should have had the sense to check this myself I know but didn't think of it.0 -
You have to add in the actual post office on your posting methods, rather than the post box at the post office for a small cube. Then it will come up in the list of posting locations.
I've always gone with main post office is one on it's own, like the main one in a town centre. Sub is one with a shop like a village post office & corner shop.0 -

It's just not worth it!
I have also quit as it was not worth it. Sent back 10 smart cards in two separate Smart envelopes. Been on the panel for 6 months and I used to get lots to post in a week and had to post through various methods and different times within a same day which was becoming unmanageable. And also I have never won the daily draw, not even a single time!

I expect many of us have been on the panel for a number of years without winning £10 in the daily draw. I've been lucky once only and that was about 5 years ago.
For anyone reading this who hasn't quit yet but is bothered by the multiplicity of posting places and times in a single day - if it is difficult to post exactly in line with the times and places prompted by the schedule, you can post all the day's items at the same time in the same place as long as it is before the final collection. (Cubes etc do, of course, need to be handed over a PO counter.)0
