In anticipation of panel members being on holiday? That is not so many private individuals being available to record receipts, some receiving organisations being closed for the holidays?

That could be the reason actually, i hadn't thought about that.

    Hi

18 is a lot of SMARTS:eek: Seems a lot to have in your stock. (I'm retraining but during my last time on the panel, I never had more than 3 spare SMARTS)

During this period on the panel i generally have between 4 - 8 spare smarts although they aren't sending them "for my stock" these are all coming in test items but they don't seem to be asking for any back until i get over 8 in stock

    Hi

When I'm back on the main panel, I'll have to see how it goes. Too many SMARTS (more than 8) and I'll quit as well.

I wonder if they are wanting people to post them on the actual bank hols, to see how long after it takes for delivery & if there's an extra delay in collection times because of the bank holidays. Just a though :)

Possibly, although in the past TNS have said it is because the system that assigns postings cannot differentiate between Bank Holidays and standard days. They have always said that if it is inconvenient or not possible to send on the Bank Holiday then you should hold them until the same day the following week.

    morning all

I was just wondering for those that have posted out boxes, when they ask whats in the box did you tell them it was a test item?

I think I read somewhere its ok to tell them but now can't find it now.

what has been your experience with parcels and postoffice staff? do they comment? want to open to check?

    'A sample of foam'

I got a funny face and a chuckle, and asked if I wanted to put it on 2nd class instead of 1st...

They shouldn't ever want to open and check as far as I know. I was asked to put my postcode and door number on the parcel incase it couldn't be delivered, but that's quite standard.

Yes Damio, I only have 1 to post this week coming and 1 to post the following week too as I received it yesterday. I only received 2 letters this week also.

I must your quota as well because Ive got 9 to post this week and usually only have 3.

You should say that it is a "sample of foam"... this is in the FAQ.

Post Office staff will NEVER open a parcel. The only time it would be opened is if it is either undeliverable and sent to the national returns centre without a return address, or if Royal Mail deem it to be a suspicious package for whatever reason (In which case it would obviously be opened by the Police / Bomb Disposal) doesn't happen often but you see it on their service updates that a delay has been caused due to an evacuation caused by a suspicious package from time to time.

If they comment as to why your sending a sample of foam (I can only see this happening if you regularly visit the PO with eBay parcels or suchlike) then say your are returning it to the company that sent you the sample... and that they are reimbursing you for 1st class if they ask you if you'd rather send it 2nd...

Has anyone noticed the number of items to send been reduced? I only have 2 items to post W/C 14TH April and only 1 item for W/C 21ST April....
Same for me - I assumed it was because this should be my last week before "resting" but reducing the number because of public holidays makes sense - almost too much sense for TNS :D

And the last of these is my first APL cube. £4 of Love2Shop included in the same package. To be honest, this isn't a great imposition for me. I can get to the post office easily from work - I often have work things to go recorded as well - and I'm not so skint that I can't afford to hand over the cash.
I need to think of something new here...
