I'm sure that can be a pain for some folks. I have the luxury of being retired and of owning a dog. The posting schedule gives me the encouragement to vary the route and times of her daily walks; I'm sure she knows the locations of postboxes and post offices better than I do.anamenottaken wrote: »...bothered by the multiplicity of posting places and times in a single day...

An amusing fact. I have to post an item to a panellist who lives in the same road as myself and I have to walk past the house to get to a post box.
I received a meduim parcel last week. Has anyone found a use for the foam insert.0 -
Was asked this morning what was in my 'cube' by the local Post Office worker when I handed it over for posting. So I told them. I know we are not supposed to be broadcasting it to the postmen that we receive test items, but for the pittance I receive for my bothering to do this, I'm certainly not paid enough to lie when directly asked what's in the box.0

You don't need to lie! If you just say "a foam sample" where's the lie? You don't need to over-complicate it and give a back story, unless they actually asked what the sample was for?
I just posted my first cube, and yes they asked what was in it, I said a foam sample, and hilariously he replied "what kind of phone", we then had a back and forth with me saying "no, foam! foam, not phone!" And when he got it, he just said "oh, OK" and left it at that.0 -

So you told them the truth - that it was a sample of foam?
How much would you need to be paid in order to lie?0 -

I have been sent an email asking if I want to rejoin (was rested abut 2 years ago) but am thinking that I won't bother after reading back through the thread. I still manage to do the unaddressed surveys anyway which is good.Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0

I rejoined in January after being thrown off years ago. It's not rocket science, it's money for old rope really. Unless you have to make a major trip for a post office then I reckon that could be a pain. Having a dozen smarts wouldn't bother me, why would it?Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

I guess its your decision...things have changed quite a bit over the years, and in honesty I think they do expect more from panellists now than previously, although having said that the rewards are fair.
Some weeks theres lots of posting 9 has been my record recently and other weeks I'm lucky to get one or 2 things to post..in the past 4 weeks ive posted 4 things...and received nothing more than the "magazines"...so its been quite easy of late.
I still enjoy it but I can see how some would feel tied especially if they have to travel to a box or post office...but for me its still ok...ive more stamps than I know what to do with but they will get used up eventually....and the unaddressed and correctly delivered surveys are a welcome bonus too...so I would say if it suits you sign up for it but if you dont think you are getting a benefit from doing it or youre not enjoying what you do then maybe its time to call it a day
The comments on the thread are repesentative of the problems that some people have but in my experience ive had very few times that ive needed to contact the panel so for some it does run smoothly...
I have had a few queries in this past stint but mostly a bit of common sense and logical thinking will sort it out...the most flustrating thing seems to be what you receive incorrectly from other senders.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Money maker and LEJC - I totally agree with both your posts.
When you have been doing the survey for a little while, it really only needs a little common sense to resolve any queries. Things seem to have become worse since the 6 month rota was introduced - and I sometimes wonder if TNS themselves are also working on a 6 month rota!!0
