Just say it's a sample you're sending off, that's what I normally do.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I know they need to ask what is in a parcel for safety reasons,
I sent my first cube yesterday, as the final item from my training period. It seemed to confuse the lady behind the counter at the sub post office because it already had a £3.00 stamp on, although to be fair to her she has just recently taken over the running of the sub post office. I was not asked about the contents though.0 -
If there was a range of contents ( probably too costly for them to do )or something more generic it would be less identifiable as a test item. I do feel it should be possible to highlight issues like this and post arriving with identifying marks etc without having to wonder if you would be dismissed.
quite a few years ago on the previous parcel posting the contents used to be pasta ....but then even if you had a range of cheap but heavy things to post it would still raise the question of why you would pay £3 to send a 50p bag of pasta to someone!
I think part of the reason that they are now introducing the APL and asking you to pay and be reimbursed with vouchers is so that actually there isnt a band of people that enter post offices with pre stamped parcels etc...
Ive never had a problem with saying its a sample of foam...there are many furniture coverers who do operate businesses in this fashion
Also as the sender of the item you are probably unlikely to be "reported" by postal workers as part of the panel...as the person doesnt have any details of your name/address ....if anyone is likely to be outed its the receiver...which is why its always a good idea to make talking and blogging about the postal panel as vague as possiblefrugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -
If asked about this I tell them I am returning something in stamped returns box. Seems to satisfy them.BrianS2014 wrote: »I sent my first cube yesterday, as the final item from my training period. I wondered this ...but thinking about it I think it will be sent out directly to the winner...if they send it to someone else to send on then that will make that person think they have won..
I didn't think it would be for a panellist to send out but that it might be in the senders pack. I would see this as some encouragement to go and collect a pack which was too big to go through a letterbox and had to be collected from the delivery office or re-delivery arrangements made.0 -
Have said before on here that I have concerns about the validity of the survey generally - I had to post a cube the other day ( stamped already ) and it was VERY obvious that the assistant knew it was a survey item. I won't go into details but I know he realised due to the contents ( every time I post something at the PO they ask what's in the parcel ) and other features on the box. I feel I should email and let TNS know this has happened - I wonder if they might stop me participating if this is seen as anonymity being compromised.
i just tell them its a mug /returning ebay item
unless they have already opened one in the past how can they tell you are on the panel0
