    Yup. :(

Spend a few happy hours scrolling back through the thread and it's reported depressingly frequently.

Ah - that's a good way to get rid of the excess of Large 1st, if a charity can use them and you can't.

Now watch Murphy's Law in action as they send you a totally un-useful combination of stamps adding up to £3.20
I need to think of something new here...

They sent me a book of 6 first class stamps, with a confusing letter saying this is my missing incentive lol
  • I've received a few letters this week with the date to post and 1st or 2nd written on the front and the one I have entered today should off contained a smart according to the system but there isn't one in the envelope. Maybe they should do a quiz or something to test if people understand the training.
  • Do you ever recieve second class stamps as i tend to use these more for competition entries?

The only second class stamps you will receive are those included in the presentation/commemorative packs. Years ago they used to send us a book of 12 first and a book of second class stamps but switched to sending the 4 large first class instead of second class.

I wouldn't be so bothered about a franked envelope indicating date and class. Often office staff have to mark normal mail in order that the post room franks them correctly.

I also wonder whether the system has been set up to expect a Smart but the sender was not told to include one. Must admit that it is more likely the sender didn't have a Smart and decided to send the item anyway instead of following the instruction about not sending unless you have one to include. Again, going back a year or so, we used to be told to just mark that no smart was included and to post on the required day. It is only more recently that they have said not to post unless you can include a smart where one is specified.

A comprehension test is a good idea.

i have done panel for a few years now and recently had a few mailings with the details written on the front what time / day to post also a few without the extra sheets of white paper to add weight to packet

with the smart issue i had to send one without a smart as what i had to send didn't correspond to any smarts i had ...it did let me change this to no smart added and i said it would update details ... i have also recieved the wrong smart before as it told me this when i tried to enter it

i prepare the following weeks mail one at a time so no mistakes are made but easy done i suppose if you are just learning the ropes

Hi all, I am in training and trying my best!
This will be my second week of posting and entering the posted envelopes as done online. So far, I have not entered anywhere online that I have received the envelopes and smarts. Is this right?
The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)
