That's interesting - will have to look out for a bumper posting the following week then.

I wonder if they are cutting back on the re-training for "old returners".

RM has a big focus on collections quality just now.
This may have a knock on to the survey

I have just received two items through the mail, both containing smarts labelled AEDB, so I now have one for each item to be posted next week.

It looks as though they might use smarts labelled AEDB for trainees.

Yep I've received the 2 smarts today labelled AEDB in separate envelopes. You have to enter receipt on the website as there is also an R code with each one now. The smarts are like a black foam, so different to the old gold and new white ones but they do have the gold lines and soldering blobs on them so may be real.
  • It's funny in my first two RMS's I had unnamed mails at least 3 times a week. Last week I had none and this week I can report 2-3x at least. Lets see what happens next week.
  • I am starting my third week of training and for both items to be sent to West Bromwich there is a comment to add smart tag. In the package I received today from them I can't see anything that looks like a smart tag.

What do they look like please?

if you scroll down on the pop up when you log into the website it has a picture of the smarts you might receive, iirc its in the training material on the website too
they are like a piece of thin foam with a battery in a cellophane wrapper with a 4 letter code on a sticker on the outside (please don't remove the cellophane or stickers)

(edit: & read the last page or two regarding people using smarts during their training)
    - Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted
    - Student Loan gone
Swagbucks, Mingle, GiffGaff, Prolific, Qmee & Quidco; thank you MSE every little bit helps

Training packs will. Although it will depend how large your postbox is when it comes to the proper packs. I do have to go to the sorting office from time to time because they can contain a lot of packets and bits.
