but if you use a disc it will need 2013. after over 10 years using Kaspersky it is easier letting Kaspersky do any removing as you may nopt removed all entries unless you use this http://support.kaspersky.com/common/service.aspx?el=1464NiftyDigits wrote: »No, it won't. Other than a 'new' interface with the new 'year' on it, is there really much difference? What you are paying for is a licence for another year's virus pattern updates. To me, the skin they put on it is immaterial.
Are there really any new features in 2013 that merit a clean install? No free lunch, and no free laptop

Hey, I don't use the thing. Actually some features are missing in the 2013 version, such as the Safe Run 'Sandbox'.
The good thing is that you can switch between the versions to decide which you like best.

So if you dont use it then how can you sayNiftyDigits wrote: »The good thing is that you can switch between the versions to decide which you like best.
I have used it for 10+ years and have never seen a feature to switch versions, but then like any software, the new versions contain security updates etc. and eventually versions become EOL and will have no further support or updates.0 -

Impressive, but I'd hazard a guess that many or at least some of these improvements are also delivered to 2012 users by way of the daily updates anyway?
AV developers always seems desperate to promote new annual 'features' in what has become otherwise a fairly mundane product. Having said that, I'd rate KIS very highly-but then I don't pay for it.
Every two or three years they force you to do a clean install anyway. No free lunch, and no free laptop

I do installations for others and I have a few licences here.
Switch versions in that you can uninstall and reinstall any of the versions using the same licence.0 -
No because 2013 was a full redevelop with all new featuresImpressive, but I'd hazard a guess that many or at least some of these improvements are also delivered to 2012 users by way of the daily updates anyway?
