  • Well just got off the phone to DWP.(they called me)
Drumroll please....................They have made a decision.. I have been awarded. Standard living and enhanced mobility.. I am over the moon.
The lady was from the complaints department and has apoligised alot for obvious failings in my claim. It has been down to their faults that it has been delayed... She gave me her nunber and i can call if i wanted to escalate the complaint.. They are finally getting through them now.. really hope anyone still waiting are dealt with very soon.

    Hi all

ok the euphoria has now dies down a bit and I re read the report in the cold light of day.

Ok 40 weeks is far to long and has nearly cost me everything as Mr Visa was getting shirty.!!

But the report is carefully worded and it is evident that the decision maker did in fact read the Athos ( sorry about the language) carefully and considered each point. So in some ways I do approve and see where the Government is coming from. We do all know of benefit claimants who are swinging the lead and it seems that this system will stop a lot of those claims.
So perhaps it was a great idea but the execution was Cr** .

Athos must carry the brunt of the blaim as does the person who approved their contract.

    Just my thoughts

    Ian

I agree with this wholeheartedly. There are far too many people swindling benefits and I have no objections to PIP and the thorough investigations carried out. However, they need to speed things up enormously. 12 weeks should be the max to make the decisions.

Thay had everything back on the 8th of april. The lady who rang me today admitted that my claim was not dealt with correctly and should not have taken this long.

look at the criteria- mine was exactly what I thought it would be- see how many points you are entitled to- 8 for standard, 12 for enhanced
  • Made application on 20th December, waited a long 5 months till the 25th of April for an assessment on my mental health. Called them on the 12th of May and said hard copy is with the dwp. How long after everythings with the dwp does it take to receive a decision. If anyone knows please get back to me I'd be very grateful. Due to this new system I've been waiting pennyless since my claim.
