Hi
last year I was told that my esa would end in November so in August I applied for pips.
Had "medical" in December
Since November I have been living on high interest cards and borrowing off my children.
Twice a week I have phoned the DWP and Atos. The DWP refer me to Atos and Atos every week say "it's being audited and we'll move it to the top of the list".
It's now 8 months with no resolution. There is no time scale as far as I can see just delaying tactics. There is a farcical complaints procedure -" tell us how we can improve the service"
I've written to my MP - no response as yet.
Has anyone any other ideas
thanks

PIP is not a replacement for ESA, as they are two separate things. PIP replaces DLA.
Why did your ESA end?
LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -

Hi
my esa stopped because it apparently is only payable for 52 weeks.
as to the report it has been made out but atos have sent it for auditing and refuse point blank to give any time scale for when it will be sent to the DWP
thanks one and all

Hi
Think I've just made all the classic mistakes and been confused by the massive paperwork and DHSS/DWP infrastructure.
some 12 years ago I contracted the dreaded big C which all turned pear shaped ( but I'm still here). hence I was given Incapacity Benefit.
In november 2012 I received the normal 20 sheets of paper saying that IB was ceasing and was being moved to ESA.
OK i didn't read it all as it seemed to say "change of name but nothing really changes"
In November 2013 they stopped paying the benefit telling me it was only payable for 365 days.
Thanks to your comment I got out the paperwork and found that they had moved me into a Work Related Activity Group. - When I attended the interview it lasted less that 5 minutes as the interviewer told me that I clearly was not fit for work and could not understand why I was there.
So I suspect I've shot myself in the foot?
Unless you can suggest anything, whenever I trawl the web I always seem to end up at PIPS
thanks for all the help

Do you have a partner who is earning? If not it sounds like contributions based ESA has ended but you may still qualify for income related.0 -
My lovely friend popped to my GP this morning and got my letter of support for my PIP reconsideration. My doctor politely and succinctly explains that she thinks they are quite bonkers to have turned me down.
I also got a letter citing regs 29 and 35 for my as yet unassessed ESA claim.
Aforementioned friend is sending them off signed for today.
And now, once again, I wait.0 -
So, I'm joining the wait. I'm transferring from DLA to PIP. I sent the forms on 25th Feb. Will be interesting to see how long it takes. Dreading the face to face...0

If you have no working partner, it may be that you would qualify for Income Related ESA, which would put the payment back.
You can also ask for a review of your WRAG status, if your condition has worsened, to see if you can get into the SG, but contact the CAB or welfare rights before you do that.
To see if you match the descriptors used for SG, you can look online as many sites give info and guidance on this.
(Benefit and Work site have excellent guide notes and online 'assessments' to fill out, at home, to see for yourself, but they do charge £20 per year, and I am not sure how much info is available to non-members.)

Little update..... Having attended assesment on the 17th , my claim has been with Sean at head office, whoever that is. I've rang twice a week to see what the flip is happening. Rang yesterday to be told, the case is now , not, at head office and is waiting to be transcribed, entered onto the system and audited. !!!!!!!!! I am rapidly running out of patience , have contacted my mp and she has forwarded my concerns onto, Mr Brian Pepper, National customer relations manager. Don't know if this name could be of help to anyone else that is stuck in the process? To add to this stress my manager wants me to return to work , in a building with no suitable access for a wheelchair users and has suggested several colleagues buddy up with me, to get me into the building and take me to the toilet. As if life as a new paraplegic isn't a kick in the fanny enough....RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. I know i'll see you again my best friend forever.
