I've been waiting 6 months for my assessment, and had one cancelled on the morning of the day it was supposed to be carried out. I'm sure Quack quack wasn't intending to upset you, but we've all been told it takes up to 4 weeks from when DWP get the report back. You do still have a week to go.
I appreciate that but his post wasn't helpful at all, reading my past posts shows I know what the timescales are vs what I had been told and that I was purely venting. I also know others have been waiting longer.
If you look at Quacks other posts on this board you will see they are very keen on a spot of mild disabled bashing.0 -
hi,just a small update, been trying to contact mp this week after last letter said that if not had decision by 10 feb ,to get back in touch with her, been leaving messages ans emails and as yet had no response,i am thinking that she has had enough of this situation herself and dodging it,i also know that my wifes file is still with dwp and only questions on discriptors were sent back to capita, and no timescale for capita to complete,i,ll just wait for a miracle ,then so"God is my saviour.0

Still no decision, 3 days off the 4 week limit. So it looks like they are going to use every little bit of the 4 weeks before making a decision.
The lady I spoke to today was a bit snotty as well. I just want to know now, I think this wait, the shortest of the whole process, is the worst bit!0 -
hi,me and wife fed up now,a dwp pip dept person phoned yesteday to inform my wife that her case is in utter mess, apparently the dwp sent discritor questions back to capita for them to put right, now the dwp say they have sent them, and capita have said they have not received anything off them,so at moment my wifes claim is stuck between dwp and capita, and neither are backing down, tried getting hold of local mp,but no answer, spoken to citizens advice and told because of mp,s involment not prepared to get involved, this utter thing is a right mess,do not know what to do anymore.0

I cant say I am happy about this new postcode lottery.
So different areas, will have different companies (or NHS) assessing them?0 -

As far as I have read it will be Capita doing the North, and a couple of others places, and ATOS doing the South.
It was all going to be ATOS, but after the ESA shambles, they lost part of their contract.
LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -
Well. It just gets worse. I just called as we are basically at the 4 week deadline and I have been cheerfully informed the DWP are no longer giving timescales for themselves, 4 weeks no longer applies and I "should receive a decision soon".
It's just disgusting quite frankly. Sick and disabled are unwitting guinea pigs in a rapidly failing system.0 -
update
Rang dwp its is 2 weeks since they got my report and the gentleman on the phone said due to it being 2 weeks he is going to raise it with management as it should have been done by now , he also said that i should recieve a phone call in next 5 days i assume he means working days of a decision .
I seen what you have wrote 925dancer i am going to give them until the 5 days is up and if i havent had this call will be back onto them . I had told the gentleman that it is now coming up to the 9 month mark of me starting my claim and he did apoligise and say that most claims are taking this long . This really isn't good enough at all something needs to be done . i have seen in the paper today that Atos are possibly losing they contract and that they have made so many mistakes but what about us that are left waiting and also what about people getting the wrongs decisions . because after 9 months i still might not get a award and have to fight and struggle on all the while getting more ill with no help .0 -
hi can i have some advice had medical 17th january im still waiting to here anything from pip0
-
I had my medical with PIP on 5 Feb with the original being made for 23 Jan but I was still suffering with a chest infection. I have no idea how long they will take before they get back to me. We have Capita here in Brum and I wasn't overly impressed by them at all, I was questioned not by a doctor as I thought but by a former tree surgeon who kept on about him having blepharitis.0
