That link doesn't mention the disabled persons railcard. You only have to be on any PIP component for the railcard.

Update. Rang them this morning to ask about my MR and the complaint. Pointed out that over three weeks I was told three times someone would ring me and no-one has and I was worried about the time limit for my MR. The lady said that wasn't an issue as I requested it in plenty of time and it should be being looked at. I was under the impression I had to have this useless phone call before they would consider the MR but allegedly no that's not the case. She said she would chase up the call and my complaint and MR so I'm going to give them till Wednesday- their five working days for the call then ring them again.

kken: so sorry to hear your daughter was turned down but hopefully the MR will turn it round. Was shocked when you posted she'd not been awarded pip as, from what you've told us on here, it's obvious how much help, etc, she needs. Thinking of you all and best wishes for the MR.

Geordie girl & Mrs Ryan, hope you're MR's are successful - again can't believe you were turned down. The additional stress this puts you under must be unbearable.

Everyone else that's still suffering this intolerable wait for a decision - I hope you all get what you're hoping for without having to wait too much longer.

Thank you. It's still not sunk in yet I haven't had the letter yet but my backdated is in the bank so it's more believable now
Did you make sure you pointed out all the mistakes that's a joke I've been looking out for you coming back on I want to here how you get on I hope it changes now. I researched for a appeal and it said over half get overturned at this Point. my fingers are crossed you get your decision ill still come on here and check as I followed your story and some others which helped me. So I want to see you's get your answers
Yours was the longest one I've seen with a dm. Ive got to admit although my whole claim took 45 weeks the time from f2f audit and cm was a month. Felt like forever though xx

Hi, so glad you have done this and really hope you get the right decision. I am in the same position as you helping my daughter and yesterday sent in a 7 page letter, more medical and psychological evidence and loads of photos so know how you are feeling. please let us know how you go on.
Tbh I am struggling myself now psychologically. So much was resting on being awarded PIP and I truly believe my daughter deserves it that i went into a depressive slump which I am struggling to control. I am sure the DWP banks on people not having the backbone to fight on. My daughters claim is now 2 days off 1 year exactly!!
I know I have to find the backbone and I know the people on here are super supportive so hopefully it will not be too much longer for those of us having to deal with MR. I will be keeping everything crossed for you and if there is anything I can do to help just ask.
Did you do your MR yourself? I am just a little worried as someone who fought a decline years ago for DLA told me that she was declined twice and then got CAB to do the paperwork which was then successful. I feel that I have a decent enough command of English but am worried that someone else may have put it over better. Anybody have any thoughts on that?

    Hi All

I have been waiting for a decision on PIP for my Son we applied back in January and he had his F2F 4 weeks ago.

Capita sent my report to the DWP on Wednesday, I later got a call from a CM as my MP got involved 4 weeks ago as this decision will determine if my son gets to stay on his special needs college course or not.

The CM said she had seen his file and he had been awarded Enhanced, Enhanced and she would rush this through so we can give the college a hard copy letter to get him on the course, However I called yesterday to ask how long the award had been issued for and got a really rude man who Said the case had not come over to them yet and as far as he was concerned, he might not get anything so don’t bank on the Money!!! As you can imagine I explained it wasn’t about the money it was about getting my sons college sorted.

Has anyone ever herd of this happening, I was so happy the other day no I am so confused

You should get it within the next few days. When I won my DLA appeal and DWP agreed with the decision, the money was paid in and a letter was received the next day.

Still no news. I rang them, they said 3-5 weeks from when they received the paperwork. F2F on 11th June. Paperwork sent to DWP 23rd June. They received it on 2nd July. Mr Postman must have taken the scenic route.

Utterly fed up of waiting for everything. Think I'll drop my MP a line, if that'll do any good...he's already supporting me with another issue at present, the poor man will be sick of me...
