It takes around 6 months and a couple thousand pounds to do a yellow line.

I see your local council have found a way of saving money and reducing the time it takes then.

It's not a police matter, hence why you should speak to the council. Alternatively, find out who your local councillor is and get them involved - that's what they're there for :) From experience, I have a very efficient local councillor who sorts out all kinds of stuff for people around here.

Yes it is. I've called the Police numerous times (on the non emergency number) about our works car park entrance being blocked. First they will try and contact the owner of the vehicle by phone and if that's unsuccessfull, they'll tow the offending vehicle away. However, this only works if you're blocked in, not blocked out.

OP next time it happens, call the police on the non-emergency number. However, this is something to be done several hours before you need to get your motorcycle out, it's not high priority and it may take a while to get it moved.

Is it not possible to return the favour and box the idiot in with a couple of mates' cars for a week or so when you're on your hols?

i'd confront him, if he is aggresive simply call the police.

If you are blocked in the garage phone the police and they can arrange to have the car towed, if you would like this to happen leave your vehicle in the garage for a few days and as soon as the car is parked there take a photo and call the police. If this continues to be a problem the police can supply you with cones to place outside your garage to prevent parking.

I would also call the council, they may allow you to install a lockable bollard in front of the garage, if you do this yourself it will cost less than £100, not sure what the council will charge. If the council refuse to offer assistance you need to continue talking to them as in most garage schemes the owner must ensure the tenant is able to use the garage.

6 months to paint a double yellow line? They must paint very slowly no wonder it costs so much

  • Bending over for bullies never works.

Man up to them, or get a man who can to do so.

When this bully finds his car several hundred yards down the road conveniently left on double yellow lines and ticketted he'll change tack.

Bend over for him and it will get worse.
  • I moved a car blocking my friend's garage, took the handbrake off (it was unlocked and rolled it fowards 20 feet... straight into a main road (made sure no other traffic at the time).

I have never seen someone so purple in all of my life, he didn't do it again!
