  • It was actually 2 weeks ago, but I didn't know about this thread! I have paid off my payday loan account (which I should NEVER have got) and closed it and asked them to take away the option to re-open! Now for the CCs :j
  • Loan (used to buy my car last May)! All of it apart from £5. It was first taken out at £8,000! Its around £3,500 I've paid today.

I did it under 'additional payment' so I didn't have to pay any interest like I would if doing it by close the loan option. Once the payments have cleared I'll ask for a 'close the loan fee' on the £5...

  • I've just paid off the last of my overdraft, £2900 :j
I've closed the overdraft facility on my account just to make sure I don't slip backwards.
0% balance Credit card to go and then all unsecured debt is gone. I will still have my mortgage and student loan (from the post 98 period so no point paying it off early), but they're longer term targets. I will start saving for overpayments on my mortgage and for the day when I will have to replace my car.
