A cheap drink for students!

I hate being sober around drunk people! When we go out now, me and friends have strict policy that we keep our drinking in time.

soda water is free where I work. on certain nights 1/2 pint of coke costs the same as pint yet people always ask for half pint. Smirmoff vodka also costs the same as house vodka. Check the conditions of all drinks 1.50 etc offers

I work for Wetherspoons - in my pub, a normal pepsi is £1.40, but a pint is £1.55... go figure!

Also, cordials and soda/tap water are only £0.15

without turning this into a studentphil style thread i think something like that is only offensive if you choose to be offended by it - it would be quite easy to gloss over that comment and replace it with your own 'less offensive' word. But lets keep this thread light shall we?

im not sure that you know what you mean by 'they' (as 'they' could be Romanies, Irish Travellers, New Age Travellers etc.) but i am a Romany and i haven't ever parked in your field.

Irish travellers are not a legally recognised race in Ireland

it tastes nicer than plain water and what is coke - a bit of water with some flavouring in it...

rascism is generally how the word is meant to be perceived - if I call a white friend (I'm white) a cracker its generally not perceived as rascist, even if it may be meant that way. Yet if a black person uses the phrase then it is rascist. This PC !!!!!!!! (which it is) has to be stopped - if a word is used and not meant to be insulting then there is little point in trying to dig up some ulterior motive for the words use.
