  • Evening

One very tired Skinty today, DS was late going to nursery today but I explained he might be late because of watching (or attempting to watch) the Perseid Meteors last night. Unfortunately he was looking at the wrong place at key moments and missed them, but DD1, DD3 and I saw loads and loads.

WM has had a bout of gluttony (8 washloads today) all pegged out and dried

I spent HHWeeding back patio (this will teach me not to mow the grass without the grass box in future......3 weeks ago I literally whizzed up and down without stopping, but the weed and grass seeds have gone everywhere)

DD4 has been wanting Daisy mode all day today and not remotely interested in solids, probably over-tired, will start again tomorrow.

All loos had a jolly good scrubbing today. One big bucket of washable nappies all rubbed through ready for a boil wash in a mo.

DD1 and DD3 have been pottering and picking up after DS.....

Tonight we had a second attempt on the Perseid Meteors with DS, and went out at 9.30 to watch again. Hot chocolate with marshmallows tonight ;) DD3 and I saw one really really bright one with a long tail and a few squibs but nothing like last night.

We did however see the International Space Station go directly overhead, and I managed to get DS awake in time to watch it go across the sky.......the ISS was in view for about 3 minutes so he actually got the benefit of that one.

For anyone wanting to take advantage of the warmer evenings to watch for ISS or plan to watch next meteor shower, you might find this site very useful

Right, must try harder with listy tomorrow

    Nighty night
The cold never bothered me anyway

I feel like all I've done today is cook and wash up. I've put a load of laundry in too.

    Totally normal.
    Better is good enough.

I actually woke up this morning feeling a little deflated and wondering if I'd ever make a dent in all the work that needs to be done in this house- glad we're back to the bathroom, it's actually one of the easiest rooms in the house to clean, and was only done a few days ago after the ceiling was cut apart and crap went everywhere!
Me time...goodness, not going to know what to do with this, may extend it and watch an episode of the Tudors with a cup of tea!

    Wednesday - Bathroom/downstairs toilet/Hall, Stairs, Landing
    15 minutes...

Clean the toilets and sinks, shine those taps
    Got 30 minutes to spare...
ME TIME - newbies this is a very important part of being a flylady:D You could soak you feet and paint your nails, read a magazine, chat with a friend, have a cuppa - anything but you must not skip t his task

    Have an hour...

[STRIKE]Clear the floors and hoover and mop them, right into the manky corners[/STRIKE]
Test your smoke alarms, hoover them out inside Yikes- I don't even know where ours are: that's priority task for today!
Clean the bath and/or shower - descale the head if required
    Shine those mirrors and windows
    Extra mission:
Who needs new toothbrushes/cotton wool/sponges etc?
[STRIKE]Change pet bedding[/STRIKE] Did this yesterday

Extra: put the bathroom back together, apart from the essentials everything's still in the spare room!
Our hall, stairs and landing are going to be a pain, got one of those Karcher cleaner thingies so will have to give it a go and hope the dogs don't run around on it before it's dried! Downstairs landing is also still full of boxes belonging to the Temporary Lodger, since the dining room's out of action anyway they might all get stuffed in there for now...
Saving for my first car: £300/£3500!

Dinner out of freezer for today and tomorrow.
washing taken to machine.. not sure what I am putting in yet!

DD2 just surfaced so she can load the DW

I need to find some boy jobs... Those 2 aren't getting out of helping!

That might be about my lot for the day!
