so have had a payment for the first jewellery ms today. was £42 so have paid another £34 to mortgage acc. got £30 in debt acc atm ready to pay vet for cats vaccination on sunday. if any more payments come in they can go straight to mortgage acc.
have had confirmation from broker that i def cant get mpi now
have decided i will prob join ninjasavingkats oct thread when it starts but will need to have a think about how to work budgets as i am paid on 19th not 1st  have been wasting too much on sweeties
will put any savings away to buy new clothes when i loose weight (which not buying sweeties will help with!) :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
shuffled money around and found another £10 so paid in mortgage account. now up to £409
:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
so few more payments in and mortgage fund now on £440
dont think anymore payments are due now until oct.
next month is looking pretty good funds wise. got around £170 in ms due, £475 extra in my pay and £340 rent so nearly £1000! only need £760 for mortgage fund so hopefully can pay £200 off cc as well :j also have quite a few things on ebay on bin which if sold will net £84
not sure they will sell though but can always relist in nov as they are suitable for xmas gifts.
have now decided to get serious again about diet and exercise as fallen off the wagon! has also meant i have been spending loads on rubbish from the shop so from now on im aiming for 5 gym ses a week and cutting out all junk except two bowls of popcorn a week as a treat (also going for a 4 course meal so will be having my desert!). will try and save money for new clothes. setting myself a challenge to get to 9st 13lb by 6 dec which is just over 1lb a week. easily should be doable as some weeks i know i will loose more than 1lb
will need to weigh myself tomorrow morning to get starting weight as not sure exactly what it is.
going to have a total declutter for jewellery (nearly all costume), bags, shoes, clothes etc... will take a leaf out of shoegal's book and only wear stuff that makes me feel fab! other aims for fabulousness are learn to curl hair with ghds and have a make up lesson somewhere for smoky eyes (probably bobbi brown counter so need to save a bit to buy some products). also need to get into nighttime beauty regime. have all the stuff just cba! have just got loreal day and night cream and want to use it every morning and night to see if it gives results. if not will need to investigate whether it is worth getting some more expensive stuff.:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Thanks for the mention :A
I need to get better with skincare too, I am lazy with it and my skin is not good
. For the last few days I have been using the Clinique Laser Focus that came free with Marie Claire and it seems to be showing results - I'm tempted to get some but a big expense if I don't use it regularly! Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
so quiet day today

going to hang washing out and collect parcels from po
gym ses with short swim after
lunch
pop into city to collect few things
tidy room and change bedding
remove all summer clothes from wardrobe, ironing pile and drawers and put in suitcase. sort through winter clothes and put away or put in ironing pile. get rid of any winter clothes i am not going to wear or dont fit (will ebay tomorrow if good enough or put in cs bag). maybe do some ironing
do cinema audit:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
so did everything except the audit and ironing. will do both today

was going to do some gardening but back, shoulders and arms kill after yesterdays gym ses! will put that off a few weeks.
think i will do my nails later as like having them painted. always seems a waste though as they peel from the chlorine in the pool and i will be swimming nearly every day this week.
somehow i have ended up with all of oct plans in the first weekend!
will def have to get the following weekly spends out in advance and may even have to borrow some from ms payments and repay from weekly spends when i am paid! as long as i repay it its fine.
so in my quest to be fabulous i have thrown away two pairs of pants with holes in
they are just the ones i wear to bed and gym so get worn and washed a lot and most are from tesco or primark. need to go through the rest and may need to treat myself to a new 5 pack! :rotfl: :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
so update time although not much of interest has happened!
i have now had 4 sugar free days (i mean not naturally occuring sugar)
and have had oct first gym visit. been ill all week and just had a swim today. also had 3 NSD in oct as well :A goal is to loose 14lbs by new years day which is only like 1.2 lb a week or something so should be doable.
can then plan capsule wardrobe and go and buy it :j
today is quite a lazy day as going out tonight. been for a swim and plans are cook a lentil and spinach daal and clean the house (mainly de-cat hairing it!). will also have a nice bath and probably paint my nails. didnt paint them last week but did cut and shape them.
have calculated that if i pay £560 off debt each month from next month then i will be £459 off being debt free by 30 April 2014 :j this is £60 saved from wage (maybe have to transfer this at beginning so i cant spend it!), £340 rent and £160 ms so hopefully is doable. the £459 should be hopefully be easy to make up from cashback, if i get extra ms, rare chance of few hours OT etc....
have decided to go to india in oct for 3 weeks as cant put life on hold. thought it was more sensible to go then when cc is paid off. so if i continue with the £560 in may-oct i will have £3360 which is way more than budgeted for (£3k but that includes £500 contingency). if i dont spend the contingency i may even be £800 up! :j
from nov 14 will start holiday fund of £250pm. still plan to do ms but will perhaps cut back depending on what i have on and may increase my spending budgets. but even so would like to start putting at least £250 by. will initially use this for new fridge freezer and to get a new window and redecorate my bedroom. then will overpay mortgage. if i do have that £800 left then i will get window booked in when im back from hol and wil replaced in time for winter
dont think i will bother with emergency fund as will still have around £500 disposable per month, holiday savings and credit card. so if something broke i could pay for it within the month if under £500.:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
hmmm so no sugar has been cancelled after i enjoyed a very nice square of millionaire shortbread in costa yest

in latest quest for fabulousness i have found a nice dressing table on gumtree for £35 which i will hopefully get today. will be no excuse now not to learn how to curl my hair seems as i can sit down!
got day off today and have booked a few ms to do
in other news was talking to mum yest and saying i would like to get a btl property and if i had a big bingo win that is what i would use for deposit. she said in 2/3 years time when she retires earlier she may be able to lend me deposit from retirement savings and i can pay her back with interest she would have got
so once debt free instead of overpaying £250pm onto mortgage i am going to save it and put towards a deposit
she devised a spreadsheet to compare rents and selling prices and so far the properties under 100k have come out best inc a flat that is only £60k which would obv be a low deposit

Great. Looking forward to many, many discussions on it. Whether I like it or not! I have unleashed a monster :eek:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
