Exchanges and refunds
We hope you are always happy with your Asda purchase; however, if you are not completely satisfied we are happy to… Exchange or Refund as per the policy below.
If you’re not completely satisfied with any Asda Brand food, Asda Brand non-edible grocery, or Asda Brand health & beauty product we will refund and replace the item for you. For all electrical items and accessories you have 28 days to change your mind. Products must be returned in their original packaging and in their original condition**; proof of purchase is required.
The same page you linked to says thisAsda Supermarkets can only accept returns for items purchased in Asda Supermarkets.
Asda Petrol Filling Stations can only accept the return of items stocked by Asda Petrol Filling Stations. Items purchased at larger Asda Superstores or Asda Living stores should be returned to the store where originally purchased or to any other Asda Superstore or Asda Living.
Applies to in-store purchases only.
Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
* Where proof of purchase is not available we will either exchange or refund onto a gift card.Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

For those that can't see it properly, what it says in the first section is this:
No receipt required:- All food (ambient, fresh and frozen)
- Non Edible Grocery inc Health and Beauty
- Home & Leisure
- Optical - excluding prescription glasses and contact lenses
On the above products, offer an exchange or refund
Where there is no proof of purchase available, exchange or refund onto a gift card only
Customers can return these products if they change their mind
Products must be in their original condition
If a product is faulty or mis-described a customer has 1 year from purchase to return it to us (see inherent faults)
Looks like the policy has changed since that according to their website, but If that's displayed then it's good enough. You'd have to encounter a serious trout to say otherwise.0 -
