Lets just take a minute or so to think about what this thread offers-
Support for peeps that need it.
Help when peeps need it.
A listening ear for when peeps need it.
Advice on holidays, trips and visits.
This is the most ultimate thread you could ever wish for as no question gets ignored (unless you're a troll)
In my mind, I never known a much better thread than this, with all the camaraderie we have on here, who'd wanna go anywhere else.
Does anyone think I like this thread?
Oops, I forgot to mention the brilliant shopping lists, and glitches we get didn't I.:p:p

AvT
Mr Muscle 5in1 Bathroom & Toilet Citrus Cleaner (500ml) has NOT appeared on my APG today and therefore acted as a trigger in the 2 for £2 multibuy. If you look at the item on MSM for Tesco it appears as out of stock in ASDA. There are a few items in the 2 for £2 that compare AvT £1.98 v £1.00 and therefore contribute £1.08 to your APG ie both items for 92p. Just remember that the trigger will not count towards the 8 items you need for an APG, and just buy the trigger and ONE other item in the 2 for £2.0 -

My friend gave up reading that Alan Carr book, she lives on her nerves and a fag was the answer to everything but she had decided she was packing up, then her dad was diagnosed with lung cancer we all said she would start again , he was a NON smoker he passed away 9 months later, she is still a non smoker :T:T
Thanks. Can understand exactly how your friend was and well done to her. :T:T0 -

Yonks ago, I thought that I was having a heart attack (and smoking at the time ), the pain was pretty intense. I phoned 999 and was asked how long I'd had the pain for. I said about 13 minutes and was told to wait another two and then call back.:eek::eek: I stubbed out and haven't smoked since.
28 days later was called from Southampton General to be told that my DD had had a brain haemorrhage and to get there as soon as possible because.. Awful words. Had the 'talk' about the operation.. don't expect too much, doesn't look promising etc. Ok, could cope with that :(but when they said that they'd have to cut all her hair off, I freaked (so sorry, logie) but her hair was her pride and joy. Sounds so silly I know but had to have something to focus on. She survived the op and about six weeks later was about to be able to come home :T:T but then got MSRA and had to go into isolation there. Touch and go for a few weeks but eventually DD was ok :T:T:T. I got through it without a ciggie despite everyone telling me to 'go and have one as I deserved it'. After going through this without one, I hopefully knew that I'd kicked the habit. Numerous Aneurysm's have followed but I've managed not to give in.
If I can do it, you all can but only if you want to stop for yourself.
No lecture intended.
Thank you for sharing this MKS. What a terrible time you had!!and your DD of course! Both of you are so brave!! :A
I can so identify with the MRSA thingit's not on when you are Ill enough as it is and being in hospital makes you even iller:eek:.......germs

started at 15. gave up when trying to get preggers with my first and stayed off until my second was 6 months, he was a really awful sleeper and i was in tears most days so went back to my crutch. was off 4 1/2 years
gave up for 4 months on Zyban
gave up too many times to mention for a week or two and ended up smoking in secret and using lots of mints and mouthwash lol
finally a month before my 50th I decided to have another go and went to the docs for the patches.
the night before my start date i read this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stop-Smoking-One-Hour-once/dp/0007104065/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1376860659&sr=8-4&keywords=stop+smoking listened to the cd and woke up not wanting a cig
didnt even use the patches and i can honestly say it was really easy. i still had the odd craving but nothing that drove me up the wall
that was 2 1/2 years ago and I will never have another cig
NOPE ( not one puff ever!)
good luck to all those trying
Nothing else to say but :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T0 -
