Last Weekend we finally ran out of pouches of cat food so I bought the big 44 sachet Felix as part of an APG shop and I also had 12 Whiskas from Tesco as I had a points vouchers.
So that's 56 sachets which we will run out of tommorow 9 days - £13 roughly for 3 cats. So very roughly £50 a month for wet food and probably another £5 for dry
We had a stock pile for about 18 months so I never realised how much cat food we actually go through. Mind you if we were destitute tommorow the cats would still get fed and we"d live on beans :rotfl:
Now I've done this sum I think I need to add them to the budget list - always try to keep it accurate.
I got 3 more of the 44 Felix using my APGs but now I know a box only lasts a week I think I need to get some more before there is a price change
Hi do not know if this will help I only have 1 very fussy cat but I have got it down to 2.00 per week for both wet pouches and dry food, my cat will only eat whiskers, I have tried him on others but he just throws up and i have to give the food away
He gets two pouches per day and dried food is consent, he will not eat unless he has both in his bowls
The 48 pack of whiskers pouches is usually on offer somewhere, normal price 13.99 but they often go on offer for 10.00 sometimes less and I always double up on the dried food when on offer, I do not stock pile I just have one month in advance
that way I do not over feed him and waste food. The vet is very impressed with him as he is not over/under weight or has any health problems considering he is a very active 14 years old0 -

I was getting convinced that they turned the lights out every time they passed my house! It seemed so much bigger and brighter than last time I saw it, and it is still semi-daylight, which made it even more special!! Thanks for the reminder Zippt :beer:Is it going over again tonight?
Evening all,
Not been on for days, been feeling really rough, not even been lurking so goodness knows what i've missed.
Got docs appointment in morning so hope I can find out more. Just hope I can find some energy soon.I even went to A's today without a list, just for normal shopping as lots of essentials had run out, but thankfully I managed a few reasonable whopsies.
DM, have you not read anything I posted about what i've learn't with zippys help? :rotfl: Not lights on ISS that makes it visible to us, it's sunlight reflecting off it, so unless someone has the power to turn out the sun you'll only miss it if you're not looking the right way (or if it's too cloudy which has often been my luck.)BTW, this is why it can't be viewed after 11.30ish as it's in orbital sunset when it's above us. On the page I look for times on rose it's not visible again tonight, but there are a few more times if you check out the link I put on post 2 of this thread.
Anyway, I just spotted something about jaffas so i'm now gonna try and read back a bit.Have I missed anything else good.

Yonks ago, I thought that I was having a heart attack (and smoking at the time ), the pain was pretty intense. I phoned 999 and was asked how long I'd had the pain for. I said about 13 minutes and was told to wait another two and then call back.:eek::eek: I stubbed out and haven't smoked since.
28 days later was called from Southampton General to be told that my DD had had a brain haemorrhage and to get there as soon as possible because.. Awful words. Had the 'talk' about the operation.. don't expect too much, doesn't look promising etc. Ok, could cope with that :(but when they said that they'd have to cut all her hair off, I freaked (so sorry, logie) but her hair was her pride and joy. Sounds so silly I know but had to have something to focus on. She survived the op and about six weeks later was about to be able to come home :T:T but then got MSRA and had to go into isolation there. Touch and go for a few weeks but eventually DD was ok :T:T:T. I got through it without a ciggie despite everyone telling me to 'go and have one as I deserved it'. After going through this without one, I hopefully knew that I'd kicked the habit. Numerous Aneurysm's have followed but I've managed not to give in.
If I can do it, you all can but only if you want to stop for yourself.
No lecture intended.
MKS so sorry about your DD xx, and like you say if you can get through that can get through anything VERY WELL DONE:D:T:T:T:T
My friend gave up reading that Alan Carr book, she lives on her nerves and a fag was the answer to everything but she had decided she was packing up, then her dad was diagnosed with lung cancer we all said she would start again , he was a NON smoker he passed away 9 months later, she is still a non smoker :T:TSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -
started at 15. gave up when trying to get preggers with my first and stayed off until my second was 6 months, he was a really awful sleeper and i was in tears most days so went back to my crutch. was off 4 1/2 years
gave up for 4 months on Zyban
gave up too many times to mention for a week or two and ended up smoking in secret and using lots of mints and mouthwash lol
finally a month before my 50th I decided to have another go and went to the docs for the patches.
the night before my start date i read this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stop-Smoking-One-Hour-once/dp/0007104065/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1376860659&sr=8-4&keywords=stop+smoking listened to the cd and woke up not wanting a cig
didnt even use the patches and i can honestly say it was really easy. i still had the odd craving but nothing that drove me up the wall
that was 2 1/2 years ago and I will never have another cig
NOPE ( not one puff ever!)
good luck to all those trying0 -
