Evening peeps.
On the subject of smoking, I 'started' smoking at the age of 9 , but where I lived, it was the done thing!!! 19 and a 1/2 pence for 10 number 10. I've gave up a couple of times over the years, but have been smoking rollies for the last 10. Somedays I'll have 20, others, I'll have 10. I'd like to think I can give it up anytime as I'm that way, but my wife didn't start to smoke until she was 28, and says she'll never give up (bad nerves) When I go out shoppingI don't take my baccy with me, so I'll go 3/4 hours without a ciggie and not miss it!!
Who fancies a spliff.
I gave that up when I married my darling wife.0 -

And...while you [Strike]waste[/Strike] spend time on that, I'm going to get out the bags of sweets list and work it out, and possibly Tvs somebody later tonight. The Morries list on page one is now technically expired. But I best get this done as the bagged sweets will still be 3 for £2 tomorrow (I hope, after all this!:rotfl:). Mullers in 5s (different 5, one each (of the right 5!), then you don't need as many fillers) vs M assuming A's offers/msm don't change again - M offer on those supposed to be till 8th Sept. Well, that's what they said last time! As to whether the JCs will still be vs 1p tomorrow, they might be or might not (particularly if it's getting on in the day). I'm not going for them anymore..
Oh...forgot to mention.. I've also changed post number 1 of this thread now, let me know if it's wrong! Took me a bit of time as the bit that got cut off then came up in a different size of text - arrgghh! - but sorted it out, so that, hopefully, there's just the one post now, with it all in (post no.1), to be taken over to the next thread in due course!:)0 -

Yonks ago, I thought that I was having a heart attack (and smoking at the time ), the pain was pretty intense. I phoned 999 and was asked how long I'd had the pain for. I said about 13 minutes and was told to wait another two and then call back.:eek::eek: I stubbed out and haven't smoked since.
28 days later was called from Southampton General to be told that my DD had had a brain haemorrhage and to get there as soon as possible because.. Awful words. Had the 'talk' about the operation.. don't expect too much, doesn't look promising etc. Ok, could cope with that :(but when they said that they'd have to cut all her hair off, I freaked (so sorry, logie) but her hair was her pride and joy. Sounds so silly I know but had to have something to focus on. She survived the op and about six weeks later was about to be able to come home :T:T but then got MSRA and had to go into isolation there. Touch and go for a few weeks but eventually DD was ok :T:T:T. I got through it without a ciggie despite everyone telling me to 'go and have one as I deserved it'. After going through this without one, I hopefully knew that I'd kicked the habit. Numerous Aneurysm's have followed but I've managed not to give in.
If I can do it, you all can but only if you want to stop for yourself.
No lecture intended.
Oh goodness. I had to read this twice to take it all in.

Why has Kate Silverton got her glasses back BTW? (Or, at least, she's had some glasses on (given that she's just finished the news on BBC1), whether or not they're the same as the ones she had before I don't know.)
BTW - my other 'special interest' at the mo. - the presenters and rotas of BBC News!:rotfl::rotfl::) As interesting as paint, I'm sure!:rotfl::rotfl:;);):D0 -
