ooh, modest AND handsome :rotfl:
you are totally right, it is hard work but worth the rewards. A friend of mine came over Sat night and was amazed listening to what I get for very little or free. She was asking all about it and wanted to know about this forum. She spends over £100 a week on food for a family of 4 and wants to reduce it. All OH kept saying was "tell her how the baby food is under £1 for 12 and thhose 6 pack of crisps were 40p". But how can you tell someone succinctly and make it easy to understand unless they already know about an APG/PP/cashback etc. I feel like i talk in gobble-de-gook sometimes :rotfl:
OH puts up with me and isn't interested at all but as soon as we have visitors, he's off taking them into the garage to look at my stockpile like a little bragger!! I think I'm going to hide his garage key:D
It is really difficult to explain succinctly, isn't it? You start off with the crisps for 40p, but then there's the fact you 'pay' £1.48 first, then get the coupon off, then it compares with another store to make them 40p but THEN it's not really 40p anyway if you're paying with an APG or womble! I try to say something along the lines of 'there's an initial cash outlay but thereafter you can recycle the original APG numerous times and pay only pennies'. I tried using the J2O as an example most recently, and the response was, 'but I only want 4 bottles'. !!!!!!!:D10 Ways to Spend All Your Student Loan In A Week0 -
Had to smile at this, my SIL and her fiance have said my bathroom resembles a corner shop especially once I put the keter shelves up. :rotfl:
I still have loads of 1p Sainsbobs bubble bath and no bath to use it in.
We have those shelves too. I want to create 'aisles' but my partner won't have it!
Didn't manage to get the bubble bath so jealous of that one!10 Ways to Spend All Your Student Loan In A Week0 -

But anyone else- if you arent prepared to put the donkey work in, then jog on!
Haha!
This rings so true. My partner was forever giving large chunks of our stash away to visitors, family and friends. It took about 9 months for it to sink in that the reason we have this stuff NOW is to save us money in the future. Now, we can happily pop into the corner shop spare room for a shower gel when we need it rather than having to plan ahead or nip out to get an overpriced bottle from elsewhere.
It's great to help out parents too - especially after all they've done for us over the years.10 Ways to Spend All Your Student Loan In A Week0 -

CoD Ghosts.
I got pre order Xbox and PS3 yesterday in my local and got 2000 points. I went and got one of each again today but went to self service till. Although it seemed to go through it needed authorisation. SA saw what it was for and said I should go to electrical desk. I said it was ok as it was just for pre order and that it will just print off the receipts etc. Well I paid and no separate CoD receipt. She took me to CS. I told her to just refund and I would buy another time. Well she must have refunded without deducting my points then put it through again in new transaction. It went through fine and only now when I have checked my new receipt it says you could have gained 2000+ points. Do you think I could take this receipt to CS at different Tesoc and ask for my points to be added?0 -
