Most muggles think is to much work and effort but like the benefits:)
That's very true. The number of house visitors that ask how (and why) I've managed to turn our spare room into a corner shopis amazing. But when I tell them, their eyes have glazed over within the first minute and they never end up doing anything of the sort. Some think picking receipts up or out of trolleys is mental. Fine by me, less competition!

Very true aaarrrggghhh. Definitely a lot of hours put in but I do like that I can choose when to put them in. It has caused a few cross words between me and my OH before now though.
I guess I get cross with the girls because I do the ground work so they don't have to but sometimes they don't appreciate it. Although now that DD1 has left home she did ring me to research cheapest toilet rolls the other day. :rotfl:
I already have a couple of 16 roll packs here for her, as they only had room to take 2 with them to their little flat to start with.I absolutley love my hobby, I enjoy the thrill of the chase and the warm feeling when sharing out the spoils. Not sure any other sport would do the same.
That's the difference between the Elite and muggles - we stock up when its a good deal, whether we need the item that day or not. If it'll keep, we'll buy it. Normal shoppers tend to think picking up a BOGOF product is stocking up.
As I've said before, the most popular question after 'how?' for me is, 'why?'. Personally, I think it's also the most ridiculous question! It's patently obvious why! I'd rather have a corner shop in the spare room and a fuller wallet than have to pop out to the REAL corner shop every day to pick up goods at inflated costs (as many of my friends do).
Your last paragraph says it all for me, too.10 Ways to Spend All Your Student Loan In A Week0 -

Grocery shopping on the cheap is now my only real hobby. I still do other stuff but when I'm online I have here as my first tab and read every single post, which is very time-consuming. Maybe they think it will take too much effort to work as hard as we do? We may think it is fun, but when you look at the hours put it in, it's tough, too.
OH puts up with me and isn't interested at all but as soon as we have visitors, he's off taking them into the garage to look at my stockpile like a little bragger!! I think I'm going to hide his garage key:D

Had to smile at this, my SIL and her fiance have said my bathroom resembles a corner shop especially once I put the keter shelves up. :rotfl:
I still have loads of 1p Sainsbobs bubble bath and no bath to use it in.0 -

tigerwhite wrote: »Wow that is fabulous. Well done. I began a spreadsheet in Nov last year that took into account all my APG's, PP's, BM's, moc's (you get the idea:p). Kept it up for a few months but could never figure out a real monthly spend doe to me stockpiling. I guess i should tally everything up over a 6 or 12 month period and do it that way. I doubt i could get it into double figures though so well done you:T
There is only two of us, though, and we both work so are out of the house for long periods of the day. As fairclaire said, babies are expensive! It's the wombles at ASDA that make it so low for us. If the APG ever ends, the bill will probably treble, even with our other means of getting stuff cheap like coupons, etc. I have certain rules too - for instance, I'll only buy alcohol if I have a wombled APG for £5+. This doesn't happen often so it restricts our monthly bill quite nicely.
I like your idea of a spreadsheet. I just keep a notepad with total spends etc in it. This month, I've started putting the value of coupons I'm using into a money tin to, hopefully, pay for a holiday with the savings made.10 Ways to Spend All Your Student Loan In A Week0
