Yes it's outlook.com I was on about - it's what Hotmail used to be I understand, but it's very different as you can see.
Edit: though having re-read the OP, he's already ruled out Outlook! That'll teach me to skim-read, apologies! Even though Outlook meets all the criteria in the first post, doesn't scan the mail either apparently...0 -

No
win 95,98,ME come with Outlook ( which also is part on MS office 2003.2007)
win 2000,Vista,XP Outlook was upgraded to Outlook Express, then with Win 7 MS moved MSN, Outlook Express merges to into their Live Essentials package and renamed Outlook Express to Windows Mail and then Windows Live Mail.
With Win 8 you get Windows Live Mail0 -

You're not talking about the same thing, Outlook.com is the new version of Hotmail; it's not been replaced by anything... quite separate from the Outlook that used to come with Windows :beer:0 -

True, though it's a lot more than just a re-naming... I used to be on Hotmail before I was on Gmail... and now Outlook... and the difference is striking. And I do like the no-scanning/no targetted ads thing.
But I fear tis a moot point as it's still not what the OP wanted :j0 -

I don't mean to keep plugging it, but GMX has "unlimited" online mail storage, although there's a 50MB maximum attachment size.
