£3 to pot tomorrow, I occasionally work the weekend and when I do I normally treat myself to breakfast in the canteen. Not this weekend it was leftovers for me. I started at 6:30 am and this is going to sound disgusting but was eating chicken casserole by 10:00. Dunno just felt wrong to me but I had 3 shiny pound coins sat on my desk which could go to my pot and the casserole was on its last legs so I thought why not. £3 to collect from my desk and add to the pot for not wasting my food.

    Happy potting!

    Evening to everyone.

Sorted out my purse earlier and managed to pot 2 beautiful £2 coins, and 83p into the christmas dinner jar.

Slightly off topic, but when I was doing the school run this afternoon, one of the mums told me that the other night she'd been really struggling to go to sleep. She solved this problem not by counting sheep, but by counting my children (I have 5), mentally putting them in age order, and then trying to remember all their names. Apparently it cured her insomnia, and she fell asleep pretty quickly. Not sure if I'm flattered that she went to sleep thinking about my lovely little angels, or a bit miffed that they're so uninteresting that they sent her to sleep??!! :rotfl:

and the money already in my bank makes my goal of £3,000 by July 2016 to 13%.

Not bad for a person who doesn't really save.

Can I possibly be added to this? realise I've only got a month - but maybe a concerted effort between myself and the hubby will get us a few quid! :)

Of course you can. It will be very interesting to see how much you get. You could use the month and a half as a little intro to next year :)

Changed my sig cos it was still showing totals from a couple of years ago! (not been very active on the forum!).

I will remind myself of the rules and what not. Very excited to get going.

I believe we already have a pot with some change in it - no idea how much is in there... so that may be a good start :)

    Thank you xxx
