Ahh, that's a rotten shame, Nell, but if you yourself are feeling so rough then it's just as well to postpone it a little. Please, just let us know when.

You ARE doing well, Helen, let nothing stop you now and you'll be totally elated next month!! :j

    Good Morning everyone
Sue thanks for the kind thoughts, we just ignore the silly b!tch after she accused me of staring at her every time I leave the house! I'd rather look at a rubbish tip than her ugly mush

We'll today's the day! The scooter comes home today lots of pictures will be taken & there's a charity ride out tomorrow for the homeless in Birkenhead

Sparky, I'm surprised at you! You tell it as you feel. So, you're not fussy on her mmmm? She obviously needs something better to do. Not to worry about her right now, you'll have more to think about with your scooter being safely home!! :j All the best with the ride.

Do what you can, EchoDelta, that's all anyone can ask. :)

£572+ potted and probably over that £600 with all the uncounted part £'s. Around 8 weeks to go and I would love to "weigh in" at £700 - we'll see.
I've got my coin bags ready for the counting. :D

Good luck with that, Lynsey, you've certainly gone all out to save, and save you have.

Oooh your poor little one, nu1isit?, I really do hope she's ok and won't scar too much. Kiddies eh, the worry they put us through. :(

I can see your point, Rosy, it must be horrible to be away from your DH at Christmas so I can quite see why you feel as you do. Can't you put them all together? That's not moaning BTW, I know I'd be the same, I promise you! I'll be giving you a thought when it comes. :)

I feel very naughty, I was reminded that we're going away at the beginning of November and I didn't want to leave my pot in an empty house so I opened it :o. The £125 that I took out is safely in the bank, sig updated, and there is quite a bit left in there. My hand is out ready to be smacked.

 There Modesty and I hope you learn from it. Oh dear, now I feel like I was X amount of years ago with my kiddies! It's ok, at least it's safe in the bank...and I take it you've put the amount on your siggy? If not there'll be another slap or 2 weeks on the naughty bench.

Oh ETO, what a rotten shame. I expect he'll make up for it when he's safely home again.

Well done, dinglefoot, just as well put it safely away so it didn't get spent.

Now come on, little_sweetie, could jakes-mum really be anything different than naughty? NO! :(

BTW, jakes-mum, you're not alone in liking to hear Christmas carols in shops in October, I LOVE it!! :D

It's ok, folks, I'm not mad (I am NOT) I just couldn't get to sleep so here I am chatting to you lot. Enough to drive anyone to drink! :rotfl: Especially jakes-mum!

Enjoy your Sunday, one and all.

Hiya SammyJo! Marvellous news to hear you've got yourself a job and with TIPS!!! BTW, you can have as many pots as you wish on the go why not - it means people are saving even more if they need more pots. :D

I've got one for each denomination (one for roadkill too) as I've had them given to me by our DD, DS and Grandkiddies too! :j Well, I couldn't turn them down now could I. ;)

Fantastic Helen!!! By heck you're doing well - that well that you have a job to keep away from here, but that's a wonderful thing. You've so much to be proud of, Helen, always remember that. I'm proud of you too. :kisses3:
    Have a lovely day, everyone.

Ahh theres nowt like listening to a bit of chestnuts roasting on an open fire while your trying to decide whether the kids would like to be werewolves or zombies :rotfl:

Well my potting is going to be a bit lean now im afraid, DH and I have had a sit down and decided we would very much like some pocket money each now that we are not in 'real' debt (I dont count the bit of the car on the CC :o) and have also decided that we may be spending a bit more on incidental food shopping than we thought, so are trialing a new budget where I take £200 out of the bank each month for incidentals and have £100 in the bank for the big monthly shop.
Each time we go shopping we take money from the incidental wedge and pop the receipt in when we get back so we can see where exactly our money goes and if we can cut it down anywhere at all :T Anyway if there is any pennies left in the incidentals at the end of the month it will all go in the pot :D

My not so moneysaving event of the day involved getting Glastonbury tickets!

Omigod I just found a bag of money!

Decluttering a corner of the kitchen where crap goes to die and there was a bag-for - life filled with 2p and 1p coins. It's from about three years ago when the big plastic bottle we used to chuck coins in split. No idea how much is there but what a great bonus! :D
