Well done Crimson, positive thoughts :) I'm glad you're a bit better, it sounds like you're getting there. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll be fine :)

My OH normally grumbles about me potting away money, but to my utter surprise he just waved a £5 note at me and told me he was going to put it in the pot  I'm putting in £1.50 today, so £6.50 all together today :D

  • £2.20 potted today. Still aiming for £1 a day. Have no idea how much I have saved, but think I must be on target for my £300

Don't want to wish time away, but am looking forward to the great unveiling.......and the Christmas shopping trip to follow, which for once won't be accompanied by feelings of guilt or slight trepidation at how much I have spent!!

Had a good week on e bay this week too, so may try and add £10 at end of the week

Keep it up everyone and thinking of everyone who is going through a rough time

  • £2 ish potted recently and another £2 coin into baby ETO's sealed pot.

Oooo actually I have another £1.05 to pot too. :D

Can't believe it's nearly opening day. I really don't want time to go too quickly, and I don't want 2014 here just yet. Otherwise it'll mean I am on countdown back to work from my mat leave. Booooo.

  • I love this game!

It's almost like free unexpected money!!!!!

Ha ha southernman - I know what you mean though :). If it wasn't being potted, it would be being spent on random things that you probably don't need.

    I decided to pot my £5 :A

  • I'm trying to live on the £2 in my purse until pay day (18th). This is the ultimate challenge!!

I have £60 in my current account BUT i bought a new phone the other day so that'll show on my credit card in a couple of days.

(Nexus 4- but i'm not on contract- £200 plus £10 a month over 2 years = £18 and as my current phone lasted 3 years...we're potentially looking at £12.22 a month!).

It would mean that potentially i would only have to use £140 of my savings rather than £200 which is 2/3 of what i save in a month currently.

I'm stocked up on food and as my diet is coming into action, even less temptation to buy chocolate!
