Hi Jakes-Mum

You make sure you get that £10 of DH.

I sent DH shopping and he owed me a fiver so told him to use that he came back and told me the shopping had cost £14.67!!

I just explained that the price of food goes up everyday and started quoting different prices at different shops as he was waiting to go to the bookies he just said don't worry and went out!!

£10 in the pot!!!

Can I come back please? I have just had a look and my number is 110 so that means I have been away for a loooong time, but I need a challenge to stop me spending money and the first year I did so well collecting just short of £300 so that is going to be my target this year coming and hopefully I can smash it.

When does the 2014 thread start. Today I counted up all my loose change and it came to £25.48 Wow I never knew it would be so much. Totally delighted. I'm going to do this next year and try to save £500 Xmas! Can't bloody wait. I already have 3 separate tins, 1 for silvers, 1 for 2p's and 1 for 1p's!


It's such a good idea and it's amazing how nice people are on here. I'm going to be a lurker for sure!

Hi ALM, the new SPC 7 thread starts on Friday 29th November and I will be putting a link on this thread in the early hours of that day so everyone can find us easily.
Everyone is transferred across...yes...even jakes-mum and LC 2 so no worries about having to join up again or not being able to find people like.... jakes-mum and LC 2 Would you like me to put your Target on the first page by your name and number?
IF you wish to, you're quite welcome to add the money you already have saved with everyone else this year, or you have it as a start towards next year. Either way, you can save straight away - all new members can! Just a lurker?!! Come on and shout about how much you've potted, you'll find it encourages you much more.

I'm really pleased you like the idea of a holding/temporary pot, Flat Eric, it's helped a lot of folk out this year as we all need cash by for car parking, kiddies and so forth, but all too often it's already gone in the pot and then the poor pot's raided. Keep with us Flat Eric and letting us know (roughly) what you've potted and I bet you save more that way. I do for certain!
