    I've been Money Tipped!
Sue - yes abuse spoils things and too many are thinking "free food" now and multiple times and the ones that really need it will suffer. Sad I've had to walk away, but they've had quite a bit from us.

I potted a single £2 coin today and put another £3.10 into my holding pot to top up the bags.

    £655+ potted.

Good luck all these last 2 weeks.

  • I brought myself a proper bigish piggy bank.
I'll use my sugarskull money bank for my emergency money Instead of using my jack skellington mug that doesn't fit on my window seal lol. Oh I just realised I have £2 to put into my emergency fund - my sisters boyfriend gave me £2 back after I gave him bus fare for tonight and tomorrow... He only took what he needed (bless him!)

Thank you SUE for welcoming me to the challenge! Below on my signature is a list of my debts - I am classing the wedding fund as debt (we get married May 2015) as it needs paying this time next year, but the SPC is additional funds that will count towards the wedding for any last minute bits - we are aiming for £900 which is what the church is costing - they don't want payment until the Thursday before our wedding which is 30th April 2015 and they want this in cash - we can't pay anything sooner or in instalments. BUT hopefully we will have already saved the money for the church and the SPC money will be towards last minute bits.

    Feeling excited!! :D

Today I potted £3.50 that I found on the mantel piece that was H2B's - I have warned him that any change found laying around will be potted! He potted £20 note last week plus there is a few more coins in there but just taking the total as £23.50 for now as not sure exactly what is in there!

Looking forward to this challenge! Dec 2014 seems agggeeess away but it'll come round before we know it!

I forgot to mention - our SP is one of those that needs smashing to get the funds out! So there will be no temptation to go dabbling!

    Happy potting everyone! :rotfl:

Sorry, Ruth, I forgot that you're a 'counter as you goer' and I'm pleased with whatever makes you happy. Why isn't you Dad happy with your total so far? BTW, I'm pretty sure I let folk go ahead with adding their savings from the £2 challenge in the SPC last year as they said they didn't put it on a list at the end of the year on that challenge. As we do then it CAN be added here on the 28th as, like Christmas savings/stamps.

Sue - My daddy isn't happy because i told him he has to help me count the money up and bag it :D I'm guessing he doesn't find it very fun when it's not is money lol

Hmm im beginning to suspect your changing the rules each year just to confuse us all  I certainly remember a no multiple challenge rule from somewhere . . . I just cant guarantee that I didn't make it up meself :rotfl::rotfl:

Ive always started my new challenge same day as we open the pots, if I didn't that would be a whole 24 hrs of potting time lost  you cant open your pots when you get up in the morning and then not put something in the new one till the next day! Sacrelidge! :p

Jakes-Mum - i thought this also. I'm sure Sue isn't changing things and that we're just making it up ;)

I have to work in the morning so can't count up until the evening :( When i read your post i was all excited! Made me think if christmas, running down stairs in your pjs and counting the pot up :D

NOOOOOO don't smash your pot!!!! If i remember correctly there are tips on page 1 stating how to get the money out with a knife! ..... That doesn't mean you're allowed to raid it though!

Off topic - Squash laid an egg this morning!!! Sadly, she doesn't have a boyfriend so nothing will come for it but she looked so proud trying to get me to notice it when i woke up!

On topic - Potted £4 something last night and someone from work gave me some extremely shiny 2013 coins! They know me so well. Also, i have a stash of 10p coins in my car that were used for the parking meter when i went to the gym. Since i cancelled my membership i can now pot those :D Will do that, and my other change tonight and then update my signature :D
