So far this month I have potted £12.44 in various bits of random change which has FINALLY taken me over last years total :D I don't think I'll make it but I'm going to aim for £800 by count up day. That means £3.18 a day  Still, no harm in trying. If I don't make it I don't mind too much since I've already surpassed last year which was my goal :)

Go on, Ruth, you can do it!!! :j It's good to hear you're just over last year's Total, though how you know when the pot is sealed is beyond me?!! :undecided ;) Why not count up half of the cash that's in your car, or is it another HUGE savings pot? Good luck whatever and great news about cancelling your gym membership.

You're welcome, mucktub. By the way, if it's possible to walk instead of going by bus, then why not pot all the bus fare! ;)

It's good to hear you're not buying from that particular shop anymore, jakes-mum, if they can't look after their customers then it's their loss, though if the bosses admit to sometimes getting it wrong ~ they should reimburse to put it right!! I'm so pleased you're happy with the new carpet, though look out jakes-dad, she'll have you doing the entire house before long!! :(BTW, all through that post and you never kept to topic at all!!!

Thankyou everyone for such an inspirational thread!

You're welcome, pinknfluffy28, though it's all of us that keep it that way, including you! There are many varying folk here, some badly off, others not so, but we all have differing circumstances and save accordingly. All the very best with your business venture, do all you can to advertise yourself. Look to a brighter future after the hard slog. :grinheart

Lynsey, that post to pinknfluffy was brilliant, you've earned a gold star. :staradmin

Thanks Sue UU. I will try and keep up but with the kids and being at uni full time as well as volunteering a day a week I don't seem to find myself much time for MSE lately :( I am trying though as it is always this time of year that I feel the pinch!

    Mel x

Just strive to do what you you can, Mel, and save wherever possible so Christmas is a little easier in future, though I must admit I'd forgotten about you studying. Well done on having added more!! :j

Mel was right with the ATB, Helen. Bless you with what you've put on your latest post, it almost brought a tear to my eye. However much we all encouraged you it was still YOU who did the saving! ;) You're doing yourself proud, never stop saving as it'll help get you the things you always dreamed of. :)

Don't you believe it, Lynne, if I can do leaps and bounds then so can you! :rotfl:

Have a good time with J, sparky, and return refreshed. Just seen your latest post and won't Canada be an amazing place to go!! BTW That's where my best friend lives - our Kerfuffle too of course, and it's gorgeous in their areas!

Good to hear you're so pleased with how well you're doing, Ellie, keep plugging away.

Moving back to Yorkshire sounds blissful to me, Happybeingme, a gorgeous county. Glad you enjoyed it. :D

Excellent saving, charleybear! All the best with your needs.

    Excellent saving, Kerry!

A £10er in the UU pot and proud of it.

Have a wonderful weekend, potters, but NEVER forget to save!!
