If you're considering starting shopping or writing about it, can I be the first to suggest getting some additional tuition on your written skills before you go any further?

    Ouch... :D

    Hello!

Another student and I are looking to speak to an experienced mystery shopper, someone who has been doing it for enough time that they would have worked at a range of places and will have plenty of stories to tell, to perhaps speak to either via the internet, on the phone or in person (if they live in London and have the time)
It would be really light-hearted and we only really want an account from a personal level, rather than an insight to any companies you have worked for.

If you would be available to do this, my email is lottie.j.fry@gmail.com or in fact, just reply via personal message on this website

    Thanks a million!

    Lottie Fry (and Louise Delves)

    Hi Lottie

May be add why and what it will be used for, to get more of a response

You can get the same money off your bill with a voucher and forget the reporting if you want a new MF pizza.

The shed load of assignments that was in my area for the Pizza places, have all been picked up. It clearly floats some peoples boat.

Personally I prefer the ones made in store by A**a:j No reports to fill in, really nice and good value...

Same here, though I do expect some to be dropped once they have read the brief, there is always a run on new jobs like this but once shoppers find out they are not what they first seem they get dropped, quickly too.

Having printed the pages and now done the call, the bank employee advised

    A) No idea about X , we don't provide this information over the phone – (this is after putting me on hold for 4 minutes to find out)

    B) To find out about X, I should visit a branch and make an appointment.

Made the report easy to do…

Sounds like one I did earlier in the week; I was told they don't provide the product I was inquiring about.

    Cheers easy :)

Associa - No, they take the hump real quick
Amber Arch - You are better off without them
ABAi - Don't worry, keep applying and you'll get something.

Looks like I'm not paranoid then - it might be the hump!

Re: Amber Arch - I quite like them, though the advertised fees are beyond rubbish. But they do get very generous when they're desperate!

Hmmm, I live in the country, and my nearest jobs are a 20 mile round trip. So are you saying that, if I have one job on, I can't undertake it if it pays less than £9 as I'll be making a loss?

Where it becomes an issue is if it becomes a regular occurrence or it's a clear attempt to manipulate the benefits system.

    Bit unnecessary, no? :(

Especially as the writing really wasn't that bad. Certainly good enough to be accepted by the MS sites that I use.

Is it just me or is the company that (used to) hate to be named going all MF with silly proofreading queries?

You have written that ‘the bar edge felt slightly tacky’ and that ‘the bar top although dry, had residual smears and glass marks.’ Can I just ask, what exactly do you mean?

When I put my hand on the edge of the bar it felt a bit sticky, when I looked at the bar it had marks and smears as if wet glasses had once been placed there, and the marks just allowed to dry.

Oh, that’s alright then. Thank you for clarifying that. (Deduct 2 marks!)

Seems as well as new ‘diners’ they have recruited new proofreaders, all keen to justify their existence.

    Sigh!
    arghhh!!!
