  • I've also had the you have scanned email. Not polite and I think I only do about three jobs a quarter for them now.

Also from what I hear they are shedding clients, the latest being the 'reef' betting shops.

Maybe they couldn't fulfil a lot of the betting shop jobs? It was amazing how many silly and embarrasing tasks they wanted you to do for so little.

Mind, I did an MF pub job - the ones where the name implies you will get hit - and the type of pub and the tasks help with that too! Half the things they ask aren't about on-the-floor service - they are questions that management must know/could easily find out the answer for - yet they make you be really wierd and conspicuous trying to find them.

They should have a think about what they are looking to achieve then tailor the questions towards that. But what do I know? :)

The other visits involving playing the machines, placing bets and asking about plastic cards etc are gone.

Not surprised to be honest, the fee was so bad many good shoppers gave them a swerve, it encouraged a culture of poor quality shops.

Sometimes its the client who can't be told too, I've had a similar conversation with an account manage for a MSC and sometimes they just can't be told.

Has anyone signed up to that Neilsen thing where you scan the barcodes of your weekly shop with a scanner they send you? In return you get "points" and entries into prize draws.

Are the points worth knack all? Is it worth it? I suspect not but thought I'd ask before dismissing it.

    Cheers

I do it with Shop and Scan (they could be different to this one) and get 1100 points for each weeks shop and that's worth £1.10. I tend to get £50 worth of debenhams vouchers a year for my trouble.

No doubt MF will pick up another load of rubbish jobs with low fees in their place.

Wish MF would lose the clothing shops back to ESA as at least they were reasonable under them. Mailed me back in the summer asking me why I did not do them any more - well if you increased the fee and stopped all this messing about taking pictures of the receipt and the shop, that would be a start..

Oooh look, along comes another discount supermarket, I wonder how long that reimbursement is lowered to match the other brand.

To be honest I wouldn't do them for ESA either, they never matched when I was going to the shopping centres they were located at and they never warranted a separate visit.

    re HS Brands

Just to update that finally (some 5 months late) Ive received a triple figure payment that was outstanding for a special project I did for them along with a lengthy apology and begging note to work with them again, thanks in part to Skivenov who used their non payment to me as a discussion point when they wanted him to do jobs..
  • I have a question.

How many MF points do you have?

I'm asking as I've just crossed the 1000 mark. I expect I'm way behind many as I'm a casual/hobby shopper who has taken many breaks. I first signed up 5 years ago.

So.....How many MF points have you got and when did you first register? :)

Up to you if you want to say how many points you have had docked for proofreading queries!! Lol!!

With the greatest of respect, MF points are worthless.

You cannot exchange them for cash, prizes or get any form of discount.

Similarly, they do not entitle the MSer to access premium MF jobs, or any other benefits.

    So why bother?

I agree they're worthless but it isn't as though we have to "bother" to collect them - they get allocated whether you are "bothered" or not.

If you meant "why I am bothering to ask the question" - I'm just curious.
