Anyone else had problems with MF? I have twice been accused of sending in a scan of my receipt when I have sent in a photo. I have been with them for years and have always photographed receipts as I have never had a scanner! It only seems to happen with the pub jobs.

I just lay them on my desk and take a pic. By the time mine have been in my pocket they won't lie flat - maybe that makes them look authentic rather than something that could be photoshopped.

You must by lying it too flat and being too neat! ;)

    I thought the same...

There seems to be shed loads of bank jobs around and you know its bad when MSL are re-advertising the Tern jobs. There is a limit on how many bank accounts an individual can open or be credit checked for so no doubt these jobs will hang.

They could make more effort to remove credit checks. That would help. I'm sure the companies could also remove shopper details for cancelled accounts from their database as well.

Oh indeed yes! I had one of these I will now quote my reply :-

"I do not take kindly to being called a liar, the receipt was photographed, it seems to me one of three things have occurred :-

    1. You are incompetent in which case you could be fired and your company is liable for libel damages.

    2. You are doing this for a bit of fun; in which case your supervisor needs to be informed and I will be pursing a libel claim against your company.

    3. You are doing this under instructions, from your seniors. In which case your company is guilty of fraud and I will be purusing both a civil and criminal action against you.

In order for me to start immediate action against Market Force in the County Court please supply me with the following information. Your Company registration number, your company solicitor details. Please note that failure to pay me for this job on these grounds will result in a Criminal Prosecution Case being brought against you.

Please provide me with the necessary details so that I can start the necessary legal action immediately.

I do not like being accused of fraud and I will take all necessary action to clear my name.

    Yours xxxx"

I can assure you that this got their attention, I received an apology and have had no trouble since. Yes my method was a bit dramatic, but I feel very strongly that MSC's should treat as suppliers of quality intelligence not as oiks!

  • I've also had the you have scanned email. Not polite and I think I only do about three jobs a quarter for them now.

Also from what I hear they are shedding clients, the latest being the 'reef' betting shops.

The one doing the age related checks with Serve Legal? I'd say more of a different focus rather than lost a client, unless you know otherwise of course.

I work in a casino - previously owned by the same company, still speak with quite a few people within the company so it's pretty accurate.

They had two lots of visits both done by MF. The age check and regular mystery shops.

Age checks have gone to Serve Legal who they apparently were with before. They need to do these as per their licences etc.

The other visits involving playing the machines, placing bets and asking about plastic cards etc are gone.
