OTOH, typing with a plaster over my finger is proving a challenge.

I started my mystery shopping journey last week, and so far so good! Did my first assignment with MF last Saturday and they've approved my payment and let me take on more assignments, so that's positive. ;)

On a side note, is anyone else suffering with the fact that a certain optician won't let people aged under 25 do their assignments? It's a real pain. I've been wearing glasses for over 10 years so I've had my fair share of eye tests... It's a shame as those particular assignments seem to pay well, too. :(

You are looking at the fee and not the reimbursement aren't you? The reimbursement is generous but you only get back what you spent on the eye test, you can't keep the change. The fee is minimal for the amount of work involved.

    :(

Glad you're enjoying it. Hopefully it will be a while before checking the site, doing a job and typing it up becomes less of a novelty and starts to feel like a lot of work for £notalot

Very true - you end up being far more 'choosy' the longer you do MS work. The MF opticians jobs, are always on the board, so guess folks eventually work out they are not worth the effort. IMHO the Tern ones are a better better, although they only come up, every so often. Surprised the client continues to put work though MF given the length of time their jobs hang.

HS Brands petrol jobs, have they extended the report for these? I don't remember them being this much of a pain in the last round.

Thanks guys! I'm enjoying it so far, yes - nice to just get a free/cheap meal on the occasion if anything. ;)

I signed up to TNS a few days ago too and passed the acceptance test. I received a call from them earlier on today asking me to do a bank assignment with a dictophone, which I accepted - I've basically got to just go and open a current account with them. Can anyone share any advice? Thanks! :)

There was a fair old whack of it when I did them. Probably wouldn't bother again because of having to chase payment.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?
  • Has anyone signed up to that Neilsen thing where you scan the barcodes of your weekly shop with a scanner they send you? In return you get "points" and entries into prize draws.

Are the points worth knack all? Is it worth it? I suspect not but thought I'd ask before dismissing it.

    Cheers
