I thought scans saved as pdf files and difficult to alter.

But what happens to the image before its converted to a PDF?

I guess if you have the professional version of Adobe and can edit, there is room to manipulate the data on the receipts.

I've used Photoshop in the past. I was given a very, very faint receipt and you could hardly read it. It was rejected because they could hardly read the image. I tried to explain you couldn't read the original receipt properly as it was so faint and offered to post it in. They declined this and told me to take another photo and resend in the hope it would be better - if it was still not readable then they would decline the job and get it reshopped.

The receipt being faint was not my fault, so I didn't see why I should be penalised. So I used photoshop to sharpen up the data enough so it could be read. Visit was accepted.

Don't see what would stop me from still doing this and saving the resulting image as a pdf.

As I read the instructions you have to take a picture using a phone or digital camera, so guess they are wanting jpeg images rather than scans now. Don't know what you do if the image is faint or your camera is not good enough to pick up the detail.

Changing the subject slightly - I see that MF have added another task into the Euro supermarkets, without making any change to the fee and the are saying they may check CCTV. Really for those fees they are having a laugh. RA were also taking the 'P' today by offering an additional pound in order to get the jobs completed this weekend. Given the low fees, cant see them shifting them either.

Pretty common for some of the smaller RA chemists.
There is nothing stopping anyone scanning and making any alteration they like, a date or amount is easy to do and almost impossible to detect, save to PDF is an option from Photoshop too or install a PDF printer like FOXit there no need for Acrobat

To be honest it would be easy to walk in pick up a discarded receipt and leave, the underlying issue is MF treating their shoppers like c**p is making some rip the **** out of them.

So I took a photograph for them, they rejected it saying that it was still a scanned image and that they now refuse to pay me. I told them that I did not like being called a liar and that as far as I was concerned this was fraud. I asked for the proof readers name, the supervisors name and their company number so that I can persue a claim against them in the county court. So anyone gonna help me against the might of MF? Can't believe that I am doing this for these fees.

You would be better at the small claim court.
