Hi Tolteca87, I've only done phone visits and have quite afew booked in for the next couple of weeks. I had went along with the post at start of this thread and one of my aunts also said she is paid twice a month. But I wanted to double check as I have only had one payment in the last 8 weeks. Could be because I am only with them this side of the year? Perhaps olders shoppers on a twice the month run?
Would be interested to know, just for my own and others future reference. x
I have had a look at my bank statement and in the main I am paid once a month by TNS. I was only paid twice a month when doing alot of phone shops in the early waves. This month I did phone shops in the first week and was still paid at the end. I suspect they may pay you when it convenient to TNS.0 -
Like some of the posts above pickings have been quite slow late February. I wasn't too fussed as my work has been quite busy and will be until we get past the end of the financial year at end of March.
However the last few days have seen an upturn, with more work available, and more importantly more that suits me for location, timing and fees.
TNS have been good at paying me. I did a couple of bigger jobs with a larger personal outlay and these had an expedited payment schedule. Apart from that the payments have been reliable.0 -
What do people think about MSing charity shops?
I have signed up for one via react but I don't feel particularly good taking a fee from a charity!0 -

I think it is ok Bethen. Many are now large businesses and it is just another aspect of their attempt to grow this. Some have huge marketing and advertising budgets and want customers to have a positive experience just like any other retailer I suppose and this needs to be monitored.
Its an interesting point though as their spend on such things along with quite high salaries for those higher up in the organisation are always controversial.0 -
Thanks sukitnsee, very true, I hadn't thought of it like that. I suppose the donation you are also required to make potentially balances it a little (depending what you donate!)
It's quite a high reimbursement and fee, compared to what cheap supermarkets offer for example, which is interesting.0 -

The whole point of the mystery shop process is to improve service, therefore increasing sales. Nobody would pay for it if it didn't bring a return. So think of it as increasing their revenue, rather than taking money away from them.0 -
There's a charity shop job in my town I've just applied for, got to be in the shop for 15 minutes....that is going to prove quite tricky I think! I'll have to look at everything, twice
 Think happy & you'll be happy

If I'm working for a charity, I normally donate my fee back to them.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?0 -
MF have a pub about an hour from me with a very nicely increased fee! (About 4x what it normally is!). I'm guessing someone let them down (start date is 2nd Feb til today). Makes me wonder if it's worth pre-booking the ones closer to me, or leaving it and chancing some being re-released later on. It's not the first time I've seen a re-release at higher fees on there.
RE: The charity shops, I had the same thoughts about 'taking' money, but in the long run you are helping to generate sales. There is absolutely no way I could spend 15 minutes in mine, and ask BOTH those 2 questions, without being noticed!0
