Am I the only one finding MF is finding more and more groundless excuses for delaying payment approval on jobs until after the cut-off date? £150 in payments covering several jobs, that should have been in the payroll sent today, delayed for no good reason until the next payroll. Some of those jobs two weeks old.
Beware, people: late payment in business is a clear indicator of possible insolvency.0 -

I did first wonder the name but according to wiki...
Shannon ("wise river") is an Irish unisex name, Anglicised from Sionainn. Alternative spellings include Shannen, Shanon, Shannan, Seanan, and Siannon. The variant Shanna is an Anglicisation of Sionna ("possessor of wisdom").Motorbike jacket - can't beat it.
However, you do have to ask yourself if wearing leather trousers to work is a step past dedication to duty.
I wouldn't be discussing where you hide your camera on an open forum...0 -

As a general rule anything done before the 11th is paid on the 25th (and in accounts on or around the last day of the month) anything done before the 25th is paid on the 11th and in accounts on or around 15th.
A job two weeks old is in no way shape or form over due, I do hope you don't work for Helion, Bare or Frontline Focus...Beware, people: late payment in business is a clear indicator of possible insolvency.
And whinging that a job is being paid two weeks later than you thought is a sign of money management issues on your part.0 -
Said it before, and I'll say it again. Did a job for TERN last week (3 figure fee) and payment has just been authorised.
TERN you are brill0 -

Completely to the contrary, it is a sign that I am on top of cash flow - and do not let these companies takes the p*ss (which give some of them an inch, they will).
I find Bare pay fine, and a recent legal threat seems to have Focused the Frontline people towards more timely payment (shan't be working for them again - and I'd recommend others avoid).
We've had the discussion about late payers before. I don't tolerate it. Never have done. As the semi-official spokesman for some of these companies, it does not surprise me that you're all for it.0 -
I'm glad some people are finding there is plenty of work in their area. Round here, it's been dry bones since Christmas and no sign of it picking up 10 days into February. It's very disappointing and I'm wondering if that means very few companies are investing in MSing anymore. Some of my usual companies have dried up completely.Minimalist

I've most definitely seen a reduction in the amount of work around.0 -

But being paid within 28 days (which for the majority of companies is the expected time frame) is in no way taking the p**s.As the semi-official spokesman for some of these companies, it does not surprise me that you're all for it.
:rotfl:Its all about managing expectations, especially those of the newbies that usually ask.0 -
I've had no problem finding work this month. I've even had to say no to a few schedulers who contacted me last week. A welcome change from January.0
