Re Assosia - is it the 'norm' to get an email like today for example at 1:30pm requesting buybacks for today? I am not sure whether the original email has gone out to the 'select few' and have not been picked up and hence this gone out for wider distibution to the masses? Not done much with Assosia but noticed the very short notice periods and expectancy to spin on a coin...

Looking at the shops listed I think they have sent a mass email as every food store of that genre is listed in my area. I think the types of assignments they specialize in are usually short notice work.

Why you'd want to get in with Arseossia is a totally different matter.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Did anyone do the stationery survey job for them back in Nov? If so have you been paid yet? Was a good fee offered and it was simple to do but I'm still waiting for the payment so wondered if anyone else is in the same boat.

I've been on the books of Insight Retail Consulting for a couple of years, only done one assignment but that was fee and reimbursement. I get an email every couple of months. They now appear to be reimbursement only and I've not done any assignments for them since.

That's the nature of buybacks. If a buyback needs doing, it's not a planned thing, it's an issue of dealing with something that's gone wrong before anyone notices.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

Thanks for that - I have only done their simple merchandising jobs and not done a buy back. Sadly they were not in striking distance this time so we will have to wait for the local supermarket to come up, which seems to be quite regular...

"Is anyone doing the current Assosia buyback and actually found the product? I did 4 this morning, but could not find it.
Have taken photos of the store and the appropriate shelves, hoping that will be okay."

I've done one - but like you the store did not sell the product. I sent a photo of the shelf and the outside of the store to prove the visit - hopefully this is sufficient. :)

I could only accept 1 store within the time constraints, they did not stock it either! lol that everyone else has found the same. I simply emailed them to say so, I did not take a photo because there were 2 shelf stackers right behind me and I did not note down other product codes because I don't see how that's relevant. All they had were own brand and not specialist range. They didn't ask for any kind of proof if the range isn't stocked. I've never had any probs when I've done this on other occassions I can't find the product requested.

  • Got to agree with Wizzbang here. Of the stores I visited only one of them had stock, and quite a lot, I needed to buy and note down the rest of the shelf content but the others did not stock the range at all so cannot see any point in taking any other action as how can one write down the other items on a shelf that doesn't really exist if the range is not stocked and therefore does not have a shelf location? I hope so anyway.:D
