Can I ask, have you had any problems with viewing and accessing the MSC websites such as SASSIE etc or have you found it just the same as when doing this with a PC/laptop from home?
    Many thanks again.
None what so ever, there only annoyance is there is an annoying SASSIE job board that shows that hopeless map view, but just bookmark the old job board page until they either fix it or scrap it, only affects Bare and Tern though.

If you use a few apps like Evernote and Dropbox it makes shopping a breeze.

One of the more popular MSC's does a visit for something like this, I used this as a way to get a feel for the device :-)
  • Is anyone doing the current Assosia buyback and actually found the product? I did 4 this morning, but could not find it.
Have taken photos of the store and the appropriate shelves, hoping that will be okay.

I did two, only one had the product, annoying as I went out just to go to one of the shops! Took a photo to prove I was there, fingers crossed I'll get paid!

I've done a few buy backs and, on a number of occasions, have found the product not available. Didn't bother with any photos, just reported as requested on the spreadsheet and have always received payment :).
  • Not seen any of the 'star' jobs on GFK... feel like I'm missing out.

Might have to invest in a tablet for MS purposes. I don't take my ipad out but a cheaper more accessible in regards to MS websites and reports might be useful.
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

There were just 2 jobs round where I live. Managed to get one but, by the time I'd clicked on the second one, it had gone....clearly much sought after.

I'm considering getting a tablet. Did a stack of jobs the other day and ended up with an hour wait before I could complete my last job. Managed to complete one report via my smartphone but would have been soooooo much easier on a tablet.

Thought I'd sign up for a few more MS companies and one of them that I applied to was Helion. I was surprised at the level of info they require - past employment history, ID and a photo! Is it worth it for the jobs they have? I'm not really keen on sending anyone a copy of my ID or a photo unless it's really necessary.

I really liked Helion when they first started, but I haven't done anything for them in an age. I certainly wouldn't do another car visit for them as they were a massive hassle and I didn't get paid for one of them because the dealer didn't do what the brief wanted and I couldn't get them to.

I'm still using the original Samsung Galaxy Tab 7in and it's been great. I imagine the new versions are even better and they have come down in price a lot. Mine is wifi and 3g and I have a broadband sim on 3 network in it.

Did 3 of the star jobs, pity there are not more like those lol!
  • Thanks for all the input re tablets. I have got it down to the outgoing but still excellent NEXUS 7 and the LENOVO YOGA, it will probably be the NEXUS but the YOGA is very nice in terms of ergonomics but that extra inch does make it surprisingly bigger in terms of portability. I even have the ASUS FONEPAD (phablet? :-)) still in the back of my mind which is amazing value for the simple tasks I want particularly as it has 3G.

    Thanks again all, Jon.

Sorry dude, I cleared them out round our way. :D They're not quite as easy as they were last year due to the variety of places being checked. I'm actually having to get off the bike for some of them. :(

I hardly ever use my tablet when I'm shopping/auditting. I have a smartphone with a 5" screen and a cheap bluetooth keyboard and I can do most things I need to on it. It's easier to use discreetly as well.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?
